Thank you to netgalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

20 year old me would be all over this book. 30 year old me is thinking there is way too much work for a lot of these. One for sure requires 1 cup of sugar.

The drinks sound yummy and I’d try them at our cabin but for a camping trip I think I’ll just stick to wine in a bottle or canned drinks.

A sweet story about patience, and understanding our elders. Seems simple but when they become older and changes happen like forgetting or anger it’s easy to be a bit scared. This book helps kids deal with that big feeling in a bit so heavy way.

A fresh and hopeful book about some of the youth who are standing up and speaking up against the injustices and wrongs in the world. The children are the future. We are told to dream big and aim for change, as long as we do this within society’s image. These young people are breaking through that boundary and dreaming about a brighter future. I feel hopeful for my kids with strong leaders like them leading the way.

Beautiful illustrations, motivational and funny read this is a great book fo preteens, teens and adults about the differences you can make by just speaking up.

Bright. Bold. Vivid. Strong. This book was beautiful and I loved reading about all of the “Queer heros” past and present. Can I first point out that the use of “Queeros” should be totally acceptable here. So many incredible people who’s truth has emboldened others in the LGBTQIA community to live their own truth.

The style of illustrations is really fun. I love how we get bios on each of the people in the book as well as their contributions to the LGBTQIA community.

My son loves Sesame Street. Whenever I can get him a new book with the gang and I love it as much as he does it is a win. This book is beautiful. Sweet poetic lines about what family looks like. Very simplistic illustrations with one color aside from the monsters was fun and soft pairing well with the words.

This is such a fun book. All of the poems were fun and had beautiful illustrations to go along with them. There were poems written in so many different styles. Not only are you enjoying a poem, you’re learning about different types of poetry.

Beautiful. This was dark and sad and wild and strong and happy and vulnerable... I enjoyed it so much. I felt the emotions so strongly throughout. Really well done. It’s the real people behind these type of books that bleed through and show who they are and what has made them.

This was a really cool book. Thought provoking and fun enough to keep my daughter asking questions while making me think hard about the answers. Any book that can make you ask questions is a huge win.

This is an adorable book. Sweet puns throughout with soft illustrations. This is a cute book to read to your children and show them how much you adore them. Animals parents and children are always a win.

My son is all about monsters and this book was so fun to read with him. He loves the five little monkeys song. I loved that it wasn’t “Mommy” but “Larry” caring for these kids. Let someone else take the blame for all of these rambunctious kids who won’t listen lol. Really fun. Really colorful. A win.
