Brooke and Boaz have created a book on love that is unique, humorous and sweet. We look at inside jokes, interviews, animals, science, etc and they all have their own little comic/illustration to go along with them.
As one half of a weird whole I can relate with what this book is saying. From silly pet name (sexy sir) to strange habits (knowing each other’s thoughts) this book gets us on a deep down personal level.
Love is beautiful, love is kind, love is weird.

I love embroidery. I think the art of embroidery is fascinating and beautiful.
This book showed the basics for embroidering and how to get started. It also had a tonne of really cute ideas to start off with. The only thing I wish it had was more advanced stitches, or just more stitches to learn. However as it was an embroider almost anything the basic stitches are really all that are necessary.
If you haven’t taken a stab at embroidery I absolutely recommend it.

The Essential Air Fryer Cookbook: The Only Book You Need for Your Small, Medium, or Large Air Fryer
I’ve actually had to come back to this review a few times now. Recipe books are really hard to review as you can’t make every recipe and it doesn’t read like a book.
What I liked:
The recipes were easy to follow
There were variations for different sized fryers
The pictures included were bright and good quality
The additional information such as drink pairings or alterations at the end of each recipe were great
What I didn’t like:
The first few time’s I wrote this out I kept going back to it being very wordy. I think for me this is in fact due to the font and the images being at the back. However I’ve gone back to it a few times now and it’s necessarily wordy. It’s informative and well written with great instruction on how to properly use an air fryer.
Great recipe book.

I was 9 years old when the Oklahoma bombing happened. I can still feel the understanding for the first time in my life that true evil existed. This was the first awful event I can recall. I can still remember the empty feeling in my stomach and the pain in my heart. That realization changes us all, this was mine.
This book is a beautiful tribute to an awful day in America’s history. The bombing did not discriminate. Children as well as adults were lost. Families were broken. Lovers were left mourning. I loved how during the embers of this tragedy Hope was found. The survivors tree... was something I was unaware of. The idea of the saplings of this tree standing charred at the site of this horrendous tragedy growing and bringing life and hope is such a beaut like idea.
The images are simple. Beautiful. Haunting. They fit so well with the heavy story they help weave.
While I read this Garth Brooks-The Change played in my brain and I was moved to tears again.

I made the mistake of reading this one when my son was trying to sleep. He laughed a lot. He enjoyed all the colors, the bike, the animals. This book is great for young kids. Teaching them patience. It shows it’s okay to be sad, but sometimes without talking to someone or communicating there can be misunderstandings. I thought the illustrations were adorable.
I liked this book. It was a really quick read. It was simple. It had subtle humour. Johnny and his grandma are adorable.
The images were beautiful but showed up very dark. I’m not sure if that is my phone or the actual images.

I had absolutely no idea how crucial a part bats play in the natural world. Pest control, seed spreader, pollinator... they have some pretty important roles to play and it’s important for us to change our views on Bats and give them a hand.
We are working hard to save the turtles, save the bees, save the rainforest... I think we need to add save the bats to that ever growing list!
This is a great book. Informative and interesting without being long and boring. Kids information books can get wordy and hard to follow. The pictures and word bubbles helped this one flow nicely.

I just love these little books. What better way to learn about the positive role models through history than write stories of their lives and adorable pictures.
The injustices that have occurred through history and explored on a very small scale in life of Martin Luther King Jr.
This is great for kids and great for adults.
