Beautifully illustrated with some lesser known fables. It also includes the moral of each short story at the end.
However, the stories are extremely short, better for younger children, so have limited detail and can be a little hard to follow. Would be good to use an inspiration for children’s own creative writing, or to discuss the morals and consequences of the stories.

Very good picture book for children specifically interested in dogs as it has pages with their breeds.
Also good for younger children or those who need to develop emotional understanding as illustrations contain good references for discussing feelings and body language.

This illustrations!!! 😍😍😍😍
A great range of goddesses and mythological figures from across the world and time. Definitely worth a read if mythology is something you are interested in or would like ideas for personal belief systems.

A wonderful collection of both classical tales that are well known such as Beauty and the Beast and Sleeping Beauty, as well as many that I had personally never heard of.
The creatures and characters are all familiar figures that children can easily understand and recognise as parts of classic fairytales, and will be a wonderful was to introduce fantasy writing and creative thinking to children.
Some language used is a little outdated but on the whole, these stories are ones that have been adapted throughout the years and a little linguistic change when telling to children will definitely not hurt.

A wonderfully illustrated and written picture book for children that tells the story of a child taken from South America by New World Explorers to be taught the ways of the English.
It easily creates a feeling of wonder, loss, learning, and awe that children will grip to. The illustrations are perfect to hold conversations about the colours chosen and the way characters are portrayed in the big colourful pages.

A decent moral tale that feels like it had a lot more potential than was used.
I’m not particularly thrilled by the telling of the story, but I understand that the moral is accurate and useful for children, and that the writing is appropriately designed to teach children about health and well-being.
