So that was a ride. Whoa. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about how intent Mirceo was on convincing Cas to have sex with him and the consent issues are like whoa in this book. BUT, about halfway through I felt this got super hot and sensual and I kind of loved it? Ugh. Kresley what are you doing to me?
But then I hated the ending. I wanted more of a reassurance of their HEA.
That said, there was some Lothaire and I love Lothaire, so fine. I am glad I got this book from ILL and did not purchase it because I doubt I'd read it again.

Hello book, you are my new favorite!
Utterly enchanting, Red White & Royal Blue is the world I wish were true.
Alas, Alex and Henry are fictional, but they will soon become characters of your heart. I just adored every line of this book, every messy character, every pop-culture reference. I highlighted the heck out of my ARC copy and can't wait to get my hands on a finished one.
I'll try to form a better review closer to the publication date, but here is the blurb I submitted to the LibraryReads campaign:
An utterly delightful romance chock full of witty banter, queer characters, and deliciously explicit scenes. Don't let the cartoon cover fool you, Prince Henry of Wales and First Son Alex Claremont-Diaz will charm your pants off. A perfect choice for those waiting for the sequel to [b:The Royal We|22875451|The Royal We|Heather Cocks|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1421107274l/22875451._SY75_.jpg|42439906] by Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan!
Second read July 26-Aug 2, 2019 AUDIOBOOK
Just as charming as my second time around, although I noticed the sort of awkwardly faded to black sex scenes a lot more. There were so many "d*cks" flying from the mouths of these characters yet to never have their body parts named during sex was a bit...odd? BUT that said I'm enchanted by Alex and Henry and all of the cast of secondary characters (MORE NORA AND JUNE PLEASE) and just love this story so much.

So. I have read this and I had BIG EYES for most of it, and I couldn't put it down. I don't know how I feel yet, as I just want the whole story and I should maybe have waited knowing myself? There is SO MUCH that the characters know but aren't sharing with me the reader. Stop it with your loaded glances and TELL ME WHAT IS HAPPENING.
Bonus points for the filthiest game of spin the bottle ever and for making me feel some way. *throws flowers in the air*

A lovely and sensual second-chance romance between a new-to-town college professor and the assistant district attorney who challenges him to embrace happiness and love. But their happiness as a couple comes to a head when both Patrice and Easton find their respective careers taking them in divergent paths when the local law enforcement begins unfairly targeting young men of color in their community.
Can Patrice, a Haitian born immigrant turned social activist, accept happiness as his due when others like him suffer the consequences of being judged by the color of their skin, by their accent, by their immigration status? Can Easton, a rich, White man with a connected family, continue to toe the party line as he considers running for District Attorney while trying not to alienate the same police force he depends on to be witnesses for many of his cases while also not alienating his new boyfriend who wants him to do so much more?
As always Herrera deftly weaves a story both compelling and sensual as she makes her characters work for their HEA. Readers will also be pleased to see the other couples from the previous books making appearances.
I have to say I was very worried about Patrice being pulled over by the police throughout this story. I was so worried about what would happen that I just really want to say I appreciate the happily ever after promise Carina gives.

I received a free copy in exchange for a fair review.
Roxanne Medina, self-made billionaire, gets what she wants in business and in life. And she wants Príncipe Mateo Ferdinand Juan Carlos de Esperanza y Santos. In her bed, three nights a month for one year. She'll have his heir, romance not required.
What follows is an absolutely delicious, soapy, and over the top clash of the titans romance for the ages, and the start of what will sure be a stunning career for debut novelist Angelina M. Lopez.
I adore when a romance novel starts with a bang and Lush Money will have you racing to keep up with the twists and turns of a plot *just* this side of ridiculous, but made utterly believable by the passion and strength of the character development. I cannot wait for more!
CW for cis-gendered language throughout, Roxanne wants a daughter, Mateo wants a son, and they talk about their potential child as such.

Even now, she was torn between the impulse to throat-punch Abyssian and the urge to explore his glyphs. With her tongue.
What an amazing journey reading the Immortals After Dark Series has been. I highly recommend you read along with the FatedMates Podcast as I did. Basically a Masters level class in romance and this series.
Wicked Abyss has placed me firmly in the Team Horns camp, and I enjoyed every minute of Lia and Sian's enemies-to-lovers romance in actual Hell. SO HOT. Also Uthyr the Dragon is my favorite, and there are hell cats. HELL CATS.
I have now joined the #munrowatch team, and cannot wait for more.
I official own three copies of Brazen and the Beast and sorry not sorry I'm keeping them all. I re-read my favorite book of 2019 via audio book, and let me tell you a grunting hero is a glorious thing to hear. Hattie and Whit are my ride or die couple and I'll be re-reading their story for years to come.
Sheer and utter perfection. I am here for #yearofhattie, Carrick bend knots used for sexy reasons (OMG JUST WAIT), and Beast, oh Beast.
MacLean has done it again and I cannot wait for everyone to read this book. Full review to come closer to the publication date.
Thank you to the publisher for the advanced reading copy!
A lady determined to raise the sails on her own future inadvertently brings an underworld king to his knees when she discovers him trussed up in her carriage on her birthday. Hattie wasn't looking for this man for her birthday, but he turns out to be her utterly perfect Beast. Watching this savvy business woman fight for her future and for the man she loves is an absolute delight, and a must read, especially for fans of other historical romance authors who bring together the ballroom and the smuggler's den, like Sophie Jordan or Julie Ann Long. If you haven't yet read Sarah MacLean, what are you waiting for?

CW for physical and verbal abuse, gas-lighting, and gory medical details.
Yeesh. I chose this book for my Book to Art Club because it is super popular and I want people to come to my library program. It will definitely be a great book to discuss, I just am personally very tired reading these type of memoirs. The abuse Westover went through at the hands of her parents and her siblings is awful to read and I'm just real tired of knowing some white men get to live their lives this way, with their guns and their mental illnesses and their brutal control over their families all for the sake of being "free."

I listened to this story on audio book sometime this year but forgot to log it. During the listen I noted the problematic biracial rep for the hero (half-Asian, blonde-haired blue eyed, no specific reason for the hero to be biracial, problematic language).
I just finished a re-read, and it seems the KU title has been edited and the hero is now described as having "dark eyes" and is not otherwise identified in any way besides having "bronzed skin" and "blonde-hair." The Sheriff's name is still Jackson Lau and his mother is also not described in any way that would make me as a white person think they were anything but white people.
So, I get the knee jerk reaction to fix problems but if something so fundamental about a person can be easily edited out without otherwise impacting the story, please think about that first before you write it.
So, looking at the story itself, I enjoyed my time reading about the huge sheriff fall for the town sweetheart, the baking references, and the sexy banging.

I started Scoring Off The Field and didn't stop until I was finished and now I need a bathroom break and a snack because holy wow. I typically am not a fan of friends-to-lovers romances but Naima Simone is my consistent trope-breaker. Basically what she writes is delicious gold and I am here for it.
