Last issue before hiatus!!! NOOOOOO! BUT, a stellar arc. I can't wait to see what the dynamic trio of The Brand, Gwendolyn, and Sophia get up to, along with the unusual pairing we see at the cliff hanger.

BKV and Staples get it. Case in point, page 16 (I think), Hazel's dialogue "Good morning Granny! We are visiting our new neighbors' house but mostly just this room" AND how she's drawn is PERFECT. As the mother of a 3 1/2 year old, they've captured that wise knowledge wrapped in childlike innocence to a T. Perfection every time.

Just when I think I've seen it all, BOOM. Another double page spread from Staples that makes me spit my lunch out. When will I learn to stop reading these while eating? Probably never, because they are AWESOME!

And fuck this cliff hanger. The end.

Gah! Saga is back! Gorgeous wrap-around cover, all the characters (although I'm still concerned about The Will) and then that bombshell...
SpoilerLike I said, it had been months since Dad and I had last seen each other....and it will be YEARS before the two of us would see each other again.

How far would you go to protect your family? Yourself? What would you sacrifice if you could have your darkest desire?

Gloomy and dynamic art are the highlight of this scary graphic novel. The story can be a bit hard to follow but prepare to be freaked out by the depiction of the "wytches" and the darkness lurking in people.

We read this for my Book to Art Club and created creepy tree watercolors!

description

The first page of the single issues of Saga are always BOOM in your face. #20 is no exception. That said, after reading this I'm very worried for some characters. Very worried.

That Robot Janitor is crazy. Dang.

It is good to meet you King Robot and let's all start calling it "making a galaxy." I'm not even going to to talk about the rest because I'm going to pretend it didn't happen.

I finally got my mitts on this single issue - and so glad! I'm hoping how this ending bodes better for the futures of some of my favorite characters, but you never know.

I can't wait to see the results of the Readers' Survey.
