So much fun! Napoleonic war hero Gabriel is called back to England to accept a totally unexpected inheritance, including a large Scottish estate. Finding information from the current estate manager to be less than forthcoming, he decides to visit himself and finds to his surprise that a strong willed Scottish lass named Fiona is in charge. Fiona is simply trying to keep the estate afloat and keep her kin gainfully employed is none to happy that an uppity Sassenach is trying to remove her from her duties. Of course, sparks fly between the two in a classic enemies to lover scenario that is still refreshing and a rollicking wild ride.

I especially enjoyed the two main characters, who bucked many romance tropes, especially Fiona. She is no shrinking virgin, has in fact a very healthy attitude towards sex (and has had other lovers), and is not apologetic for it. Good times!

Liam and Isabella have an instant connection at a college party, but Isabella's drug addiction ends things before they can even truly begin. Many years later, they are reconnected at the Kinnections Matchmaking Agency where various characters from Probst earlier novels in this series work to bring them together.

Really cute and despite being a novella I still found enough meat to enjoy the romance between the two characters. Bonus points for Star Wars references.

I found this incredibly dull. Most of the first 100 pages are spent endlessly recounting the scene where Lola decides to leave Denys for a life in America, making him think she is sleeping with another man to further her acting career. Got it, let's move on. No time was spent making me feel anything for the two characters or making me give a hoot about them getting back together. I jumped to the end and I'm leaving this one behind.

A new series about the children of the royal family of the Isle of Mann who are exiled to the United States after their parents are assassinated and their love interests. This is oldest brother Colin's story, and I found it quite unbelievable. Set in modern times, I just can't buy that an entire royal family is living together "secretly" without anyone the wiser, especially after an assassination. No way. Plus, the characters felt like they couldn't decide if they wanted to be in a "gentle" romance or a more steamy romance.

Not for me.

Awesome! After a few slow volumes, I finally feel like I've been given some concrete crucial information and the story is progressing. I especially enjoyed the addition of the Amish "ninja assassin" and the continuing little Wisconsin-specific details (TRILLIUMS!!).

Marquis with two young wards meets a lovely lass who challenges his preconceived notions on education and parenting.

A fine story, however the Christmas aspect is completely oversold. Besides it being "Christmas time" there isn't really any other reference point. Also, those who haven't read the other titles in the series may not find much here.

A memoir from a Canadian women of Yugoslavian descent detailing her launch of a successful small cooking academy in her home to her travels to learn more about Iranian cuisine and her subsequent love affair with the son of the Iranian woman who is teaching her traditional recipes.

There was a lot of description of eating various parts of animals, mostly offal, and a focus more on the feelings evoked by home-cooking as opposed to the more technical aspects (not a recipe in sight), plus the book quickly devolved from a food memoir to a love story. I was intrigued by the aspects of Iranian culture Klinec was exposed to, especially in regards to women's issues and sex. I did not think Vahid (her lover) came off very well in the text and found her leap from sort of detesting him to secretly bonking him and searching for a mullah to temporarily marry them (title) a bit of a stretch.

I read this to fulfill the "Read a food memoir" task for the 2016 Book Riot Read Harder Challenge.

Recently divorced woman finds new love with her ex-husband's best friend, who never noticed her sexiness until they end up literally shacking up in a cabin over the holidays due to a double-booking error. I finished the story, but I didn't find the characters super riveting nor the action very thrilling.

After a terrible ex-boyfriend causes Ally to lose her beloved library job, she is recruited by her hospital bound Aunt to run the family winter resort in Wyoming. The aunt has an ulterior motive and really wants to match-make Ally with Chance, the man who now works directly under her. Their attraction is immediate, but neither think the other is willing to make a true relationship work.

An early work by Shalvis (2001), it is a little light on the character building that oozes out of her more recent novels. Still a pleasant read.

Frenemies to lovers story with good bones, but an overabundance of plot points. Marco, former Navy SEAL and current bar owner asks model/photographer Carrie to help him plan an engagement party for their two best friends. They both have the hots for each other, but their own insecurities mask their obvious interest. When forced to work together on this project, along with many other things that happen to come up, they begin to see they may actually be perfect for one another. Too bad Carrie is leaving for Spain in two months...

I was excited for a minute (not having read the previous book in this series) when I thought Marco and Carrie would be planning a same-sex engagement party for the couple Hayden and Beck, but alas no. Also, Marco used "fuck" a bit too much. I use the f-bomb a lot so I am not usually one to complain, but I found it to be a bit unimaginative after awhile especially during the sexy times.
