I found this incredibly dull. Most of the first 100 pages are spent endlessly recounting the scene where Lola decides to leave Denys for a life in America, making him think she is sleeping with another man to further her acting career. Got it, let's move on. No time was spent making me feel anything for the two characters or making me give a hoot about them getting back together. I jumped to the end and I'm leaving this one behind.
