Zarela is an inspiringly strong and determined heroine willing to do anything to keep her family’s legacy alive. I loved everything about her but most of all her stubbornness and love for the art of dancing. A gorgeous blend of fantasy and Spanish culture, this book was a lovely summer day read.

The first half or so dragged a bit but oh BOY did the end reveals get me excited! I’m interested to see how the next book plays out. I think I’ll like it more than this one. I’ve had my fair share of deadly trial storylines and this one was pretty well done but I look forward to the aftermath more.

This book, specifically the graphic audio version, never fails to bring me joy. I think this is my favorite audiobook of all time. The director and  sound designer truly did an amazing job with this one. I know some people like to be critics and focus on all of the flaws, but I’m an emotional reader and I truly don’t care what’s  say because this story and these characters make me so happy and can brighten my day in a matter of minutes. It’s not perfect but it’s perfect for me. I think I’ve reread Fourth Wing at least 10 times by now in various formats (audiobook, graphic audio, hardcover, and even in Spanish) It very quickly joined the ranks of favorite books of all time after the first read. I literally could not put it down and finished it in just a day. It’s fast paced excitement and adventure that will put you on a roller coaster of emotions. I laughed, I cried, I screamed, and I gasped. I love this book more and more each time I reread it.

OMG I just LOVED this book! As an audiobook person, this one seriously got me back into physical books. I did not want to put it down! The pacing was perfect and the plot was unique and interesting with familiar  fairytale vibes. There’s a prince of a magical kingdom
with an evil stepmother of a queen
and the lone unicorn shifter who gets kidnapped
for her power then needs to save her people (shifters) from said evil queen.
I’d call this more of a one-side (at a time) hate to lovers/
fated mates
romance though I would classify this as a fantasy book first with romantic developments as it goes on. Or maybe just a very tasteful romantasy.

The Last Unicorn inspiration was very nostalgic and refreshing at the same time. The characters and world building were amazing though I’m hoping to get a longer book 2 to know more about some of the magical beings that were only touched upon in this one and because I want more Nero and Lemon!
The main characters end up confessing by the end of this one and it’s all very sweet with a dash of spice.
so I’m excited to see how their relationship continues to develop. Ends on a little cliffhanger but nothing too dramatic.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one and will be eagerly awaiting what comes next!
