This book is almost entirely setup. Once you finally meet all the characters and things start to get interesting it ends. I don’t always mind cliffhangers but I feel like there should’ve been more conflict or relationship building in this book to begin with just to get me more engaged with the story to care about what happens next. The world is pretty cool and unique so I’m inclined to continue but not sure I’d use another credit to get the audio. Wish I could’ve gotten a series collection version instead with how short they all are.
