I found the plot very hard to follow. There were three different storylines all in this one book. I assumed all of these plots would connect together at the end and create a big plot twist but they didn’t. The ending didn’t make much sense; it felt rushed and random. I also hated how the author talked about food; anytime she brought up what characters were eating, she talked about calories and burning them off. She made perfectly healthy food, like bread and fish, seem horrible. You can eat almost all foods in moderation, but Lippman implies that if you want to be healthy you cannot ever eat those food. It was weird.

I absolutely loved this book. It was such a nice read. I was never bored and I loved the characters so much. It was so sad seeing the narrator’s world disappear, but I think there was a lot of events that can be compared to loss and grief.

I think the concept is very interesting. Although, the story and characters are really dark and depressing. I haven't personally read any other magna with a similar premise so it is nice to read something different. But the art style does take some getting used to. It reminds me a bit of Attack on Titan's art style; it is kind of creepy.
informative slow-paced

The actual informative was definitely interesting, but the book ran circles around itself so much. It dragged on far too long and was a pain to get through.

This book was so slow, too slow, for probably 90% of it and then it randomly sped up for the last 10%.  All of the characters for so insufferable and annoying, except maybe Nico and Libby. I kind of like their dynamic and personalities. The ending makes me want to read the second book, but, god, this took me so long to get through.

The beginning is very slow, like noticeably slower than the first three books. It does pick up the pace and speed up about half way through book. This book is where Kyrii’s character development is most obvious. He is definitely more selfish in a way and is much quicker the kill. The author also introduces a few new characters which I enjoyed. I still love these books and will still be continuing the series.

I love the art style even more the more I read the series. I really like that each book gets increasingly violent because I shows that the “closer” Kyrii gets to the Net Terminal Gene (is he getting closer to it? I don’t really know) the more aggressive the enemies get. The Administration, Safe Guards, and Silicon Life, are really scary just because you don’t know who or what they are, where they are coming from, what they are protecting, etc. The book gives you very little information and you as the reader are expected to piece together what is actually happening, which isn’t for everyone but I did enjoy it throughout the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd book.

I think the "lack" of plot and character development, if you can call it that, actually lends itself to the story. The art is just as creepy and just as mysterious. I think the setting is just as complex as the first volume. I still love the series.

Both the setting and the "enemy" characters are so mysterious and creepy. I loved it. The drawing style is something that I really liked and fit very well with the concept. The enormity of problems and the setting make you feel like the characters are so insignificant and I draws you in.

I have no clue where the plot is going, but I like that aspect. Denji is still annoying as shit, though.
