This book has such a good premise and it totally delivered. Very clever and twisty. I didn't see anything coming!

This book was hard to read in multiple ways. Firstly, there were TONS of editing mistakes. Secondly, sometimes the dialogue between characters didn't flow naturally, so the conversations could be a bit confusing. And thirdly, the subject matter. At times this story was so heartbreaking that it was difficult to go on reading. But I'm glad I did because Dikembe's journey was one worth reading. 

This book was too corny for my taste, to the point where the way the characters were behaving was unrealistic. And I really disliked how both main characters thought that a man's love would cure their unhappiness, insecurities, anxieties, and even their hunger! 

This whole book is great, but I adored the first half when we get to meet the quirky cast of characters and Cristabel discovers the whale. 

I never lost interest while I was reading, but the book definitely got boring and repetitive sometimes. Also, I feel like it should be classified under Magical Realism instead of Fantasy.

Such a mysterious and entertaining read! The twists, the turns, the interconnected characters, and the parallels between Daniel's and Julian's lives had me gasping! The only thing I disliked about the book was (of course) the way women were written. 

A cozy, gay, gothic ghost story? Hell yes. I loved this book. Perfectly atmospheric and spooky.

Disappointing, juvenile, boring, cliche, mediocre. The pacing is weird, the plot is random, there's simultaneously too much and not enough happening. Main character is annoying and unrealistic. 

Things I liked about this book: The cover. The nostalgic vibes. There were some brilliantly creative chapters. Marx.

Things I disliked about this book: Honestly, Sadie & Sam are pretty unlikable in my opinion, they're both very selfish. I also kinda wish this book was longer.

Overall, even though I'm not a gamer, I really enjoyed this book! 

P.S. Does Sam remind anyone else of Jude St. Francis?
