One of my friends sent me a very funny tiktok about it so I was really hoping that it would be fun but unfortunately the payoff just wasn’t there for me. The story follows a dragon shifter who looses his mate to a violent attack on his village like a number of hundreds of years ago and now lives and works as a fire fighter in a small town just kind of hanging out. A woman moves to town who is a paramedic traveling after her son goes off to college and finding herself after divorce. They meet on the job and instantly feel a connection but are hesitant to act on it due to each ones relationship baggage. Eventually she sees a medium to connect with her dead mother and learns that she is the dragons reincarnated lover. There is some weird existential conflict where the dragon responsible for the first incarnation of the mate comes back to seek revenge – it’s honestly unclear. The main plot is about a later in life relationship which, not being later in life isn’t really for me. The tiktok was really promising but I was slightly disappointed that it wasn’t as hot as it seemed like it was going to be.

 This series jumps forward about 15 years from the previous series and follows wolf shifters who were adopted by the main characters of the Dark River Days series as they go to Eden Academy as basically college students. They are triplets and each book follows one of the two sisters, my guess is she is going to go back and add one for the brother as well since it seems she was setting it up but it isn’t out yet at least. This series has the most payoff of all of the previous series and includes references to all of them however some of the plot points and relationship dynamics have started to become old at this point.

The first one follows a snow leopard shifter who is escaping from preternatural hunters which become a bigger part of the series moving forward, basically humans trying to trafic preter and super natural beings for profit (also a convenient enemy for the series). She becomes pregnant by a billionaire tech guy who lives with his 2 other best friends in a totally not gay way don’t worry about it. Conflict, resolution, hot sex, setting up for the next series etc.
