This book was sent to me in exchange for an honest review.

The Chrysalis Key is the first book in Ektaa Bali’s new fantasy series, and it was a great start to the series.

I was so excited going into this book for many reasons, it’s a fantasy book set in Australia, it’s written by an Australian author, and the book is described as the breakfast club meets Harry Potter but darker, and you know I love a dark story!

The plot and story was creative and imaginative, with a great cast of characters throughout.
It was great swapping between all the different characters perspectives, it really gave each character a chance to shine and develop.

The story and plot were great but one issue I did have with the book was it felt like the story dragged and went on for too long. I love long books and character development, but for this story I felt like it could have been cut down a bit and it would still have been amazing.

This book was a quick read, but I loved it so much!
I adore Emily Rodda's works and it has almost become a habit to read everything she releases.
Look, I'll stop reading her stuff when they stop being amazing, and I don't think that's happening anytime soon.

Eliza Vanda's Button Box was a beautiful fantasy journey, with a creative fantasy story and a great cast of characters.
I will defiantly be recommending this book to my younger family members when I want drag them into the fantasy world.

I'm so happy right now, I forgot how much I love this book and I shouldn't have waited 6 years to reread it!
The story was so funny, magical, and I had moments where my heart was full I just had to stop reading and hug this book because of the characters. I think I need to make this a book I read every year just because I love it so much!

*Reread July 2018*
This is my first time going back and rereading the whole series from the beginning. This is in preparation for Kingdom of Ash, the last book in the series, and all I can say is going back and reading the novella was both interesting and heart breaking.

It was so great going back and seeing Celaena in the beginning, how she used to act and remembering what she started from. It was even more exciting going back and seeing some of my babies again.
(I get emotionally attached to character, so sue me!)

I'm looking forward to continuing on with my reread and getting every bit of information that might come into play in the last book.
