After the first chapter I was hooked and couldn't put it down!
The story was a mix of adventure, romance and fantasy, with locations described so stunningly it forced me to stop and imagen ever detail before continuing.
The characters are adventurous, sassy and my babies! Ill be honest by the end of the book I have so much love for the characters that I'm scared for my feelings if something happens to them.
I have already started writing my proper review for this book and I can see now that it's going to be a long and positive one! :)

Such a magical story. My actual rating is a 3.5 as I liked this book and would recommend it to others.
The characters were all so different and I found myself really attached to them as I read.
The writing style was beautiful and imaginative with ideas that swept you away into the circus, and made me wish this was a real place (I'm sure everyone wished for that!)

It took me a little bit of time to get into this book (and I believe this was because I was in a small reading slump) but once I got into it OMG it was such a magical read!
I loved the characters and story, the magic was so different from other books I read and the idea of the woods being the main enemy was interesting.

You know you love a book when you just want to start reading it again right away! I don't want to say goodbye to these characters and this story. Rainbow as always has my heart and made me laugh throughout this whole book, I loved the characters and was so attached to them all way too fast.

As someone who is up to date with the Podcast it was really nice to go back and read the first episodes, as well as read the comments from the writers and voices of the show. The illustrations were beautifully done and really added to the reading experience.
It was a nice easy read and really gave me a different view on the show and how talented the writers are (I mean I thought they were amazing already but this just raised the bar).

When I got this book I wasn't sure what to expect all I knew was that it was a horror/ mystery story written by an Australian author. So when I started reading it and was hooked right away I wasn't surprised, I read this book way too fast and the more I tired to pace my reading the more I wanted to see what happened next!
The suspense was amazing and I was always wondering what was going to happen next, the characters were well written, and as someone who lives in a small country town, I was even more drawn to the characters and could relate to certain things.
This was an easy, yet suspenseful read and I would recommend anyone who likes a book full of mystery, thrills and makes you sit on the edge of your seat to go a read this book!

I'm sitting on the edge of a rating of 3 and 3.5, I liked the story and the character were great but I found myself a little bored while reading some points. That said I liked it enough to continue reading the trilogy.
