Oh... Well I have never said this about a Derek Landy book but, I'm not sure how to feel about it.
I mean I love the characters and the ideas but at some points while reading I was like "oh come on! Can we just get back on track and stop having these twist and turns!?"
I love the story and because I am a die hard Landy fan I will read the last book in the trilogy but I will be very critical (maybe..) and please do not get me started on Glen! Totally loved that kid but it was like beginning of the book- oh hey don't forget that glen is here... And then the end of the book- Ha remember glen? Well boom he is here for a second.. Bye glen!
Okay I'm being harsh I love this series but I just didn't enjoy the second book as much as I enjoyed the first book. But would definitely recommend the first book, doesn't have anything to do with the fact I love Milo to death...

Continuing on with this amazing series has brought back so many memories of why I love fantasy today, the characters and the plot are great and just take me away into the land of Deltora. I'm loving it so much!
I'm really excited to keep reading this series and am aiming to read the whole series this year, in between all the other books I have planned to read!
So I decided to read this before reading the first book in The Summoner series The Novice, and I loved it!
Arcturus is sassy, amazing and his relationship with his demon Sacharissa is heart warming and at one point had me smiling so much I hurt my jaw.
The story was great and wet my appetite for The Novice, I feel that reading the prequel first gave me a lot of information that will be great to know before starting the series (even though they will most likely explain it in the books). The explanations for mana and even some demon species has gotten me really excited to start this series!
I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves fantasy!
now off I go to read The Novice, I really hope Arcturus appears in the main story! :)

I wasn't sure what to expect from this series but after finishing the first book... Woah!!!
The story is great and such a great mix of Fantasy and action, the characters were well written and easy to get attached to and it was easy to learn everything as it was well explained.
After reading the prequel first I was so excited to see Arcturus as an adult!! (I may have lost it I was so excited)
I'm just really upset at the fact I don't have the next book in the series to start now! I need it!!
