Pretty fun, cute, and mysterious! I loved the love for busses and your local community. Seemed like a fun neighborhood to live in. What really derailed this for me though was the pregnancy storyline, I just personally didn't love reading about it, but I'm sure people wont mind it as a story point. I just did not care.

Started out well enough, kinda lost track in the middle, but then rounded out pretty well. I support women’s rights, but I also support women’s wrongs!

Absolutely infuriating read. Idk if I have liked characters less. Especially the daughter, oh my goddddd. A lot of things didn’t work for me; the religious themes, the pacing, the open ended ending, it just wasn’t it. Picked this up being a Seattle resident, excited to pick up on the local references, and the author spent most of the book dunking on the city which like ??? okay, don’t set your book here if you hate it. Also I really just didn’t care about these rich people’s problems. I did laugh out loud in a few random parts, a few gasps for some mystery reveals, but overall, I regret picking this up.

A nice quick read with some fantastic photos inside. I had some issues with the text formatting.

I think I liked this??? Surprised that I enjoyed this less than the first book in the series. Loved the PNW setting as well as the music references. Very fun.

An absolutely incredible work of queer horror fiction. I’ve never read anything like it. The house being a central character was SO well done. There are some HORRIFIC things in this book, but they don’t feel gimmicky or use in a way as to illicit shock factor. Some interesting political commentary in there as well.

This was a random library pick from the local nonfiction section! I enjoyed getting a peek into life in the PNW in the 60's. The narrative was unfortunately all over the place which made it a bit hard to enjoy at times. Definitely not a book you can just finish in one sitting.
