The way grief is talked about in this book is unlike anything I have ever heard. The lives this family lead and the trauma of themselves and the world is so much.

The first 20 pages I just Kept giggling because she gave off Moira Rose energy. Then the madness happened and that was creepy.

DID NOT FINISH: 24%

I do Not have the ability to picture worlds or scenes in my head and this really relies on that. I’m sure it’s great it’s just wicked confusing to me.

I am so impressed by Elizabeth, her mental strength, her determination to help others, to be a true woman of her word. While at times I found her naivete frustrating, but it was of that time. Its the mid to late 1800's. She was truly a phenomenal woman of her time.

I wouldnt say it was worth the read if you have the slightest ability to figure out a crime novel. I solved it about 3 chapters in, when you meet the whole cast you get all the answers.

I couldn't stand Cass from jump, so I knew she was the stabber. I knew the kids had done it. The men in this book are truly so shallow, yes Ethan is the serial killers son, that was easy to figure out, Cody was obsessed with the mistress and then had a weird kink about being a savior. The acceptance of pedophiles is fucking weird.

Thanks for adding to the page count I guess.

It was just meh. It got real Nancy Drew cheesy at the end, it was a weird turn from the events happening in the book for the writing to start to sound so juvenile.
