I loved this one sooo much! I adored Renee from the moment she was introduced. She was soo deserving of a good man and a HEA.
Zo... Can I get me one of him?! Had me looking at my man thinking "If you aren't willing to scare another grown man so bad that he'd push his own grandma down to get away from us, do you even love me?" LMFAO
Obviously, we got an update on Angie and Ryan. They are good, still cute and in love. Nikki, I'm not sure about. The first book I was cheering her Hoe-tivites but now I'm a bit worried about her. She has some serious daddy issues that she needs to work through.
I know her book is going to be wild because she's allows popping off at the mouth. Overall, this series is hitting.

I am on my Alexandria House journey and am trying to go in the suggested order from her website. I listen on audio and I really struggled with the previous Love After series. That featured 3 friends which is similar to this series which features 3 sisters.
While that series was spicy and the men were top tier, the women just weren't it for me. However, having read Alexandria's newer stories and LOVING every single FMC felt like I needed to get out my own head and dive in.
I am so glad I did. The Strickland sisters are likable and fun. Angela was relatable in so many ways. Listening to the previous series I had thought maybe it was the narrator that was the issue, but this series has the SAME female narrator, and she was fantastic.
I loved Ryan's inner dialogue and his growth from fk boy to boyfriend. I'm super excited for the next book as Renee really stood out in this book and I am ready to see her heal and have all the good things.

This had me creating theories left and right.
Told in 3 POVS, the lone survivor of a mass cult suicide, the cult's golden girl who went missing beforehand and whose eventual death is seen as the catalyst that led to the group's decision to end things, and the actual cult leader as he struggles to gain control of his members and decisions made leading to the deaths. I was not only hooked but impressed with the social/historical examination of prior cults.
The author was obviously inspired by several infamous cults past and present.
Highly Recommend to others who are into true crime and have cult knowledge.

Think Virgin Suicides and The Killing of a Sacred Deer. This book had that slow, intense, confusing, vibe. Like you know something is off but you can't pinpoint it until there's blood spilled.
I think this story is for people who enjoy having philosophical debates about the universe and the spiritual significance of seeing a butterfly in the dark.
Mars is a gender fluid teen and the son of a politician. He has always felt isolated from his family and morns the loss of his twin sister. Even before her death, she was already gone.
This story follows up returning to her beloved summer camp in an attempt to learn more about her. What she was like, what she liked, and who her friends are.
The events that go down are worthy of an M. Night Shyamalan movie or maybe A24.
As a reader I was on edge. I knew there was danger but wasn't sure where the source was. How far the reach was.
In really liked this but I didn't realize it until I got to the end. If that makes sense. It held my attention, left me guessing, and the reveals and ending were impressive.
Like I would have stood up and clapped. But the tone is not adventurous, it's murky, subdued, emotional, weird, and memorable.
I don't know if I would recommend this to just anyone. It has an acquired taste.

One day I will learn to read blurbs. I knew this was a YA horror that took place in an amusement park. I had assumed based on the cover there was going to be a purge like slaughter.
No, nope, not even close. This was an incredibly thought provoking, dystopian, corporate greed, and hate kind of horror. I was left shook.
Imagine it's the end of the world and fking Disney sold safety/shelter to the wealthiest people in the world to hide out and live in while enslaving their workers and letting the new owners bring back Jim Crow rulership.
Like WTF! It was insane. This story follows a group of friends who all have different experiences when shit hits the fan.
The ending left me sad but hopeful because this story already starts in a post-apocalyptic world where these kids have already experienced death and hunger prior to the short reprieve then new downfall.
Super Impressed, Highly Recommend.

If you follow my content/reviews, you will know I was NOT impressed with the first two books in this series. Those FMCs Greer and Trevia were burned by fkboys and had insecurity and jealousy issues. They pushed away the men who were trying to love them and just acted a fool.
What's crazy is I ended up liking both of these characters outside their own stories. As a friend group Greer and Trevia were protective, supportive, and loved their girls unconditionally.
Denise was the last to find love in this friend group. Unlike the other two she hadn't been burned by a fk boy. She had actually been married and divorced and left to pick up the pieces.
I felt like her story was more complex and mature. In the first two books we see her go from sleeping on her mama's couch and dealing with debt collectors, to obtaining her own apartment and pursing her interests and learning to forgive herself. ALL this growth happened BEFORE her own book.
In books one and two the pull was highly sexual. Denise and Hasaan butted heads, they formed a friendship and easiness before pursing physical or emotional.
I loved Hasaan and Denise together and how slow they took things. They are opposites that complement each other. Denise is a 5ft Tasmanian Devil, she's not one you want to get mad. While Hasaan is a big chill guy that calms her down.
The reveals towards the end had me picking my mouth up off the floor. While all the men in this series are attractive and confident, Hasaan walked away with my heart.

Mixed feelings on this one. I enjoyed most of this. However, both characters acted childish at times and it was never addressed and I couldn't relate.
I'm not the type of woman that needs to be up under a man at all times. Trevia lost her damn mind the first time she wasn't with dude and fell back into psycho bitch behavior and he allowed it. Nyles was no angel though because he knowingly pouted and didn't address the fact that his girl was a victim.
Nyles was smooth af and in this entire book it was framed that he's a fighter. That he stands on ten toes behind his woman and would lay any man out if they tried. YET when the opportunity presented itself, he did not live up to the hype.
Overall, this was spicy, entertaining, and Nyles is smooth af. I loved seeing the updates within the friend group and appreciate the growth in the writing.
