I was rooting for the bad guys. I was not a fan of the FMC, she just annoyed me. Her cheating ass POS daddy annoyed me. And her weak ass. Keep taking them back Mama annoyed me.

Swift was the only likable character in my opinion.

The hospital staff, they were all villains. And I was here for it. Dr. Jackal and her sister officer Hyde. I want more of them. I'm excited for this series and to keep reading it, because these women are up to no good.

Who knows, in another book, I may side with the main character. But as of right now I'm here for the villains.

All Roy wanted to do was get his mom a freaking Slurpy. Next thing you know there is a full-on COPS episode going down. Like WTF?! People are stupid.

Entertaining short story that will have you checking your surroundings and the other patrons next time you go get your Polar Pop or 7-Eleven Slurpy.

I'm not sure why Amazon is lying on this book. It shows it at only 48 pages. That's a Lie! This was 167 pages, 10 chapters of hilarity and gore.

Frank Franklin is a serial killer who has been at it for a minute. He's MO is to decapitate his victims and leave the heads around the city as a game of hide and seek. But he's hella bored and honestly the police are not giving him the notoriety he's been looking for.

He wants to be remembered alongside Dahmer, Bundy, and Gein.

Frank is one of a kind. He has an obsession with Fanta, loves singing show tunes, watching musicals, gardening, and glitter.

This was a fun horror/splatter punk read. Imagine a Lisa Frank themed massacre.

I discovered this story after a search for more Black Horror Authors specifically female ones. Candace Nola has a catalog with over 30 stories/dark poetry. She is the founder of Uncomfortably Dark which is a horror indie publishing company that offers a variety of services.

I really enjoyed this story and highly recommend it as well as suggest ya'll check this author out 🙂

OMFG this was insane!! I can't even describe the level of discomfort, shock, anger, and disgust I felt while reading this.

Ivory Addison is a local news anchor who is handpicked by a nationally syndicated network to host/interview woman in a new True Crime series. She travels to max prisons and speaks with woman about their crimes and what led them there. That alone was fascinating enough to draw me in.

But when she sits down with Amalia Havoc shit gets weird. I'm not going to spoil it by telling you specifics on what this woman did but let me say Alieen could never. Amalia didn't just unalive men, she humiliated, tortured, and left them unrecognizable.

As a reader I felt hella conflicted because Amalia targeted men in power that took advantage of the weak. Think Epstein and Diddy.

Amalia's calm and sweet demeanor drops, and we see her spiral and lash out, as she tells her past traumas that lead to her becoming a killer, trust you will be all in your feelings.

The twist at the end had me uncomfortably laughing like WHAT??

Octavia always does a fantastic job writing dark, twisted, mentally unstable characters.

My heart couldn't take it. This book had me all in my feelings.

First off, if you are going to read this trilogy do it all together. I read Camp Slaughter LAST Year and apparently dropped the ball on writing the review.

So, when the old characters from book one were introduced, I had to go back and skim through the first book. No worries though, my memory instantly came back to me, and I was good to go.
In book one Noelle is the love interest of one of the characters that the author made you fall in love with only to murder him in a very brutal and bloody manner.

In this final book, Noelle reaches out to the various survivors/families of victims of my beloved Iggy with the cracked out plan to go hunt him down and kill him in the name of vengeance.

She really thinks running a mile a day and going to the gun range is enough for her to go against Iggy. I rolled my eyes soo hard at the little team she put together knowing they didn't stand a chance.

Now my beloved Ignacio is in the woods. He ran back home after his confrontation with his ungrateful Barbies in the Halloween Slaughter. I was not prepared for El Monstro aka Varis Caras to overtake my boy. He takes advantage of Iggy's emotions and need to recover and manipulates him into giving him full control of their body.

While in the woods the fantasmas visit both Iggy and Varis Caras with warnings of a coming danger.
Now YES, I knew this was the final book. But I refused to believe that this band of misfits could take my boy down. I refused to believe there wouldn't be a final scene where his eye opens or a hand reaches out.

But NOOOOO Sergio meant what he said when he called this the final slaughter. It was bloody, funny, crazy, intense, and emotional for all.

I don't know if I'll be able to recover.
