Not gonna lie. Kind of disappointed. I only read this series because I had enjoyed the Ice Knights and all the characters much that I wanted more. I started on book 3 Tomboy and was happy. But Butterface and Muffin Top weren't as funny. This book had its moments. I liked Lucy previously in the other books. Sadly reading her story turned me off. Loved Frankie and the rest of the Hartigans. Will likely read the stories of the rest if they come out. There were some cute and funny moments. I'm pretty neutral on recommending it.
This book was life!! This was my 9th and book in mecha of Harbor City's connecting circle of friends, and it did not disappoint. First of all I LOVE that there are two ongoing stories and an evil villain!! Everly and Tyler are great together. Can't wait fir the next trilogy to drop in August.
Very cute quick read. It peeked my curiosity about the folks at Salvation.
Very HOT!! This is a good stand alone book. Not safe to read in public. I peeked at the reviews prior to reading and I didn't see one thing to disagree with. The zipper.... omfg THAT was life.
As always this author does a fantastic job bringing relatable, raw, and amusing characters to life.
I'd love to see this play out on the big screen.

In all fairness I really wasn't interested in Bricker's HEA. He has never appealed to me. However the combination of the storyline of his life mate being married and the worry that skipping this book would mean lost info in regards to the ongoing storyline with the rouge vampires, I felt it was important NOT to skip a book.
So you can imagine my disappointment that this book brought when it ended and I realized it had nothing to offer. No HOT moments, no Laugh Out Loud moments, no Butterflies in my tummy. or Heart squeezes. The couple NEVER won me over.
I actually stopped reading this book half way through and revisited THE DARKEST ASSASIAN by Gina Showalter. Had more emotional responses in 3 chapters of that than 300+ pages from this...
Gia was probably the ONLY character that held any interest.

Not sure why this isn't showing my original review. I hate writing them after the fact when all the excitement has worn off.
OMFG Thank You Lynsay for redeeming this series after the dumpster fire that was Justin's lame ass book. You gave it all. Added to the overall storyline with the hunters, introduced a second love story that had me giddy. *Spoiler* Dante's girl is a grandma!! I love it when the women aren't fit and young. I love the hilarity of a much younger person trying to woo reluctant older partners. I just love it. Was it the BEST love story?? No but it was a good one, it was one I enjoyed very much. This book showed so many sides of so many different characters it had me on the edge. I can't read to read the next book and I can only hope we keep this amazing momentum going.
First, I want to say how excited I am for the overall storyline of hunting down bad guys. I am so invested in the enforcers that I don't even need the actual love stories. But appreciate them. Tomasso and Abby are decent enough. I was hoping to love them as I did Dante and Mary but sadly that just didn't happen for me. Abby is good peeps though. I was immediately interested in her bestie Jet and am super excited to see that he wasn't written off at the end. Not sure if that's a spoiler but if you are anything like me and reading ahead, you will see that he has his own book so there's that... My bad if you didn't know that. But this girl already preordered it.
So more is there to say?? Am I still salty about Justin's book and feel like it could have been avoided?? Possibly. I now realize there are a few Easter eggs in there. So while he's book wasn't action packed it served a purpose. I am happy that the twins have found love and hope to see how everything works out for everyone overall.

The only reason why I rated this 4 stars is because of all the mystery and action surrounding the doctor, his experiments, and the island. As a couple, I wasn't really feeling any passion from Dom and Sarita. I liked her fiestiness and appreciated his nobility and the references to the greatest love story of all time. I'm very intrigued by Thorne and will have to check to see if he has a story floating around. As always looking at the overall ongoing storyline and I'm happy with where things are going.
