This book did not hold back on the horror and cruelty of what these boys went through. Absolutely heartwrenching. But the love, friendship, and humour in the face of it all was beautiful and tender. I felt so many emotions reading this and it is definitely one I will always recommend. 

I adored Something Fabulous but loved this one that bit more. Peggy is an excellent MC and though I was a bit unsure about Orfeo as a love interest to start, I warmed to them pretty quickly and they made an excellent couple with so much understanding and growth. It was fantastic to see Valentine and Bonny around so much too. This was like having an epilogue of theirs in the background and it was lovely to see how smitten they were with eachother still. Alexis Hall can do no wrong in my opinion and I can't wait for more of this crazy, eccentric world.

The art style reminded me a lot of Futerama which was quite fun. Loved the details in the background and the randomness going through. Sammie (transfemme) was a really interesting character and I would love to see them be more themselves but at the most bro-dude stag do as "best man" with misogynistic ass hats constantly misgendering them, I have no idea why they didn't just leave. The ending did make me happy though. 

This memoir about the author's relationship with her partner after her partner comes out as trans is absolutely beautiful, heartfelt, funny and real, and definitely resonated with me and my relationship. Such a joy to read. 

This book had everything, magic, history, family, love, loss, adventure, betrayal, heartbreak. A roller coaster of emotions written beautifully. 

What a lovely read. Sean was such a cutie and it worked so well with Crest's sass. They both learned a lot about themselves along their journeys and I just want more of them. I kinda selfishly wished the ending was a bit different but it went the way it needed to. Would definitely recommend for a light hearted summer read. 

I adore Emezi's writing. This is my second read of theirs, after reading Pet, and I definitely want to pick up more. 
I thought this was going to be a slow burn romance but it turned full on messy drama which I did not expect. Though I don't agree with everything Feyi does, I do love her take on how it's OK to live after loss. I loved her relationship with Joy (who was a bad ass BFF) and I'm glad she got her happy ending, even if it was a bit too insta love for me. 

This was such a cute read but with some darker undertones which I wasn't expecting. Boo and Mimi were adorable. I love how Boo's daydreams were illustrated and I couldn't help but feel for her with the struggles she deals with at home. The art and colours in this we're beautiful and I absolutely love the details of Boo's stretchmarks. Can't wait for volume 2.

The characters were all awful, there was no growth, the plot didn't really go anywhere but did I enjoy it? Yes? Never read anything written like this before and would definitely read more from Patel. 

When you pick a book based on the cover thinking it'll be a cute summer romance but end up teared up by the end. This was nothing like what I expected but it ended up being a beautifully written/translated quick read about friendship, family and the joy of being by the sea. Would have liked it to be a bit longer to see more of Vinga and Ruth.
