Was it a literary masterpiece? No. But it obviously is not trying to be one. Is it a fun book? Most definitely yes! Felt a lot like the Gossip Girl books, only for more mature readers. Because it is based on Deuxmoi’s real journey of starting the account, sometimes, the book also has a memoir feel to it. Also very easy to read, finished it in one sitting.

Het was geen slecht boek, maar omdat het een langzaam tempo heeft met niet heel veel actie, heeft het voor mij lang geduurd voor ik erdoorheen kwam.

This book was quite a let down after The Girls. The main character was just a horrible person, not one single redeeming quality about her. The story is meh. Nothing really happens in my opinion. It is just coasting along.

It was an easy read though. If you still want to read this book, then at least you know you can finish it within a day.

Het boek begon veelbelovend met rare dingen, daarna werd het saai tot het tweede deel van het boek. In dat deel kwam de emotie erbij en gebeurde er wat meer. Dat maakte wel wat goed, meer dan een kleine drie sterren kan ik het niet geven.

Not as good or eventful as the previous books, but because I’ve read many other books between the previous book and this one, it was a nice little story to get back in to the ACOTAR world.

Een teleurstellend einde van de serie. Had moeite erin te komen, toen ik er eenmaal wat meer in zat vond ik dat er veel herhaling voorbijkwam en irriteerde ik me vooral aan vrijwel alle hoofdpersonen in het boek. Jammer!

Really good book. I listened to the audiobook (even though I hate audiobooks, but get car sick reading so made an exception). I got really angry listening to how Jennette was treated by not just her mum, but also her grandma and coworkers. Never been as glad with my “normal” mum and my “normal” job.

Het was niet het slechtste boek wat ik ooit gelezen heb, maar ook niet echt mijn ding.

Nothing good happens in this book, but somehow the writer managed to tell the story without it feeling depressing. I thought it was beautiful to see how the narrator was trying to survive. Don’t expect a happy ending!
