Whoa...this book was a lot. I initially went in because the premise sounded so interesting and I really enjoyed Austenland by the same author. However, this one was a definite miss for me. The main character was so hard to like and empathize with. Josie has moved to New York to fulfill her broadway dreams and dropped out of high school, only she doesn't make it and now she is a live in babysitter with tons of debt. The entire time of the book she continues to say that she peaked in high school and that she was somebody. Reading her inner monologue was not fun, being constantly reminded of how important she was and yet how she feels like the world is not working around her just was exhausting. My main issue with the book was the element in which Josie would read books and literally fall into the story and live through snippets of them. The separation of these snippets in the story was jaunting and hard to get into. They were scattered and really made me feel separated from the story. There was a weird attempt at a love triangle that somehow magically fixed itself in the end with her boyfriend, whom she's been constantly thinking has been cheating on her, just shows up and everything is forgiven. The other part is how badly she treats her friend and she barely takes care of her ward. Honestly this book was a mess and sadly I just could not like it. I really liked the previous work by the author but this one was a miss for me.

This was an absolute gem of a story! I loved it so much. The romance, the mystery, and the strength that Sam has was amazing. The story revolves around Sam, a werewolf rape survivor, and owner of a bookstore and bar who suddenly finds herself facing attacks against her life and dead bodies showing up with the same scars she has. The story deals heavily with Sam dealing with her trauma and how she is working through it. I found her strength to be wonderful and how she grew despite all the hardships that kept coming her way. She was a badass, take no shit, kind of girl and I found her to be lovable. The romance interest was great and the chemistry between them was swoonworthy. The care that Clive has towards Sam is sweet and the gentleness he shows is endearing. Their bond that grows was such a pleasure to read. The friendships that Sam has with Owen and Dave were also a fun read! Overall I really loved this book and can't wait to read the next book in the series! I adored the characters and the action packed story! Seriously thank you so much netgalley for sending me this arc in exchange for an honest review.

This was one heck of a ride! Action, romance, and bad ass ladies? Hell yeah! This was a fun read and I had a good time reading this. My favorite aspect of the book would have to be the relationship between Nina, Dani, and Maya. I really loved their sisterly bonding and the friendship they share. The story switches POVs between multiple characters from both Nina's team and Knox's. Knox, aka the love interest, was an interesting character and yes I am not the biggest fan of insta-love but it was fine. I was definitely interested in Maya and Dani's possible love interest interactions though and can't wait to read more about them. The plot wraps up nicely and sets up for the next character's journey, which I can't wait to read. Overall I had fun reading this book and I am absolutely invested in the sisterly relationship these ladies share and can't wait to read more about their relationships in the future books!

Sadly this one was not for me. I was initially intrigued by the premise and thought I would have really enjoyed this book, however, this was not the case. The story revolves around a self proclaimed wallflower, Letitia Cavendish, who suffers from crippling shyness to the point where you have to feel bad for her. The love interest, a rake, Edward Wynn, instantly becomes obsessed with her after he insults her and she storms off. This was all well and fine and I grew to really like Letitia and Wynn as a couple. However 60% into the book is where everything went downhill for me. Wynn essentially does what he likes and makes excuses and uses loopholes in his wording to say it's not his fault he did what he did all the while proclaiming he loves Letitia. He goes from saying he is obsessed with her to saying that he does not love her and does not plan on marrying her, the poor girl is suffering from emotional whiplash. After the major disagreement, which left me decided against Wynn, he just shows up and is suddenly forgiven. I was holding out for Letitia to actually hold up to her growing back bone but that went downhill fast. So, all in all, I was left disappointed by the conclusion of the story and disappointed in the characters. I really enjoyed the first half of the book though. Even though this book did not work out for me I hope it might work out for anyone else who reads it and gives it a chance, maybe this romance is for you!

A cute and charming story about a man, his dog, and their quest to fish. I thought that this was a charming book on recycling and how to help keep the oceans clean. It was cleverly told through the perspective of a fisherman going fishing and finding only rubbish and wondering what happened to the fish. I think it would be a great book to read to kids and teach them about the dangers of garbage in the ocean and how they can help by recycling!

A wonderful collection of Edgar Allan Poe's work! I absolutely had such a fun time reading these selections from his work. I really enjoyed them and would recommend it for anyone who loves to read a little horror and mystery from the great Poe himself.

This was a very cute story about the relationship between a boy and his first dog over time. The art style for the story was cute and charming. The relationship between the boy and his dog was very sweet. I think this would make a great book to read to kids, especially ones who have just gotten a dog!

What. charming and cute book! The story is very adorable and focuses on the adventure of a witch named Beetle and her friends Blob Ghost and Kat. The main journey of this book is about how Beetle is a homeschooled witch who hasn't gotten her powers yet and finds out that her best friend Kat is coming back to start her witch training all the while the mall in which Beetle's best friend, Blob Ghost, is going to be torn down and if they don't find a way to save them then they'll die. The artwork was so adorable and I fell in love with Beetle. She was a very strong and great protagonist! Also, the ROMANCE!!! How absolutely sweet. This book was seriously adorable and filled with magic, friendship, and romance! It has everything!!

This was a unique retelling of the origins of Swap Thing. I found the story arc to be very interesting and I enjoyed the development of the brothers. The art style was definitely unique and I really enjoyed the plant monsters. I liked the dynamic between the brothers and I enjoyed the unique plot. Overall, I found this to be an interesting comic and enjoyed reading it.

This was AMAZING! I absolutely loved reading this origin of Beast Boy story. The artwork was fantastic and so gorgeous. It is probably one of my favorite art styles for teen titans. I thought that this was such an interesting take on the origin story for Beast Boy. The plot was really fun and quite interesting, especially with a particular villain appearance * wink wink*. I am a huge fan of Kami Garcia's writing and this did not disappoint. This is part of the Teen Titans collab between Kami Garcia and Gabriel Picolo, however, you can read each of them separately as they are all origin stories for each member of the team. The characterization of Gar (Garfield) was really in character and I enjoyed this highschool version of Gar. Overall, this was a fantastic read and addition to the Teen Titans comics. I can't wait to read the next book and I think this is a great story for all DC fans or fans of the Teen Titans!
