I did not read the previous two books in this series however I didn’t need to. I was able to read this book without any issues or feeling like I was missing something. This was a great mystery book! I enjoyed reading from various characters POV and delving into separate interpretations of events. I really liked Amy Winter (our protagonists) and found her to be a level headed and relatable character. The main mystery was interesting and I really liked the way in which the case progressed and was resolved!

This was not what I expected at all. Sadly this book did not work for me. There was too much incest and not enough of a good story building. There were also various storylines involving rape and I wish there was a trigger warning. This book just did not sit well with me and I couldn’t find any of the characters besides the telepathic cat likable.

I did not real the previous book in this series however I found that this book does not require reading the first one. This one was an okay read for me, the progress of the story started off slow and then ended quickly. The pacing was a bit off. I could not really connect with any of the characters. I did enjoy the cat though. The writing style is fine and the magic world building in this is fine. Overall this was just fine. It’s a good fantasy story about discovering ones indentity but there were no real emotion connections for me sadly.

This was an interesting read, full disclosure I did not read the first book but I found it wasn’t hard to read this one without having read the first one. The dynamic between Lia and Con was an interesting one, and describing it as “two pit bulls in a cage” is an accurate way of putting it. Throughout the story they could not come to an agreement on anything and were constantly arguing despite being at war. Things don’t really change until the full consequences take place. The pacing was fine and I found the story to be interesting enough that I’d want to read the next book to continue the journey with the characters. The romance between Lia and Con isn’t exactly healthy, what with the constant arguing, keeping secrets, and using sex as a way to not talk about issues, however they did grow and I hope to see the next phase of their relationship.

This was defiantly an odd book for me. The story was odd and the formatting was a bit odd. The book definitely has humor and politics. The only thing is I just couldn’t quite get behind any of the characters or feel anything for any of them. I just was not connecting with the book and that’s just me. I’m still kinda feeling a bit “what did I just read” after reading this.

An extremely endearing, heartwarming, and precious book! As a barista I absolutely adored this book! There are so many messages on self love, dealing with anxiety and sadness, and learning to make friends in this book. This was absolutely perfect! I adored every page and word! I highly recommend this book for all ages because it can teach us all something and bring a smile to your face.

A cute story about a boy and his best friend, a bat, going to camp! I loved the artwork in this and the friendship. It really captures the essence or going to camp for the first time and learning to make friends and explore. A sweet story and a nice ending!

An interesting story about facing fear. I thought the approach was definitely an interesting one. The artwork was nice.

This was an okay story. I liked the plot the only real issue was the protagonists and certain decisions characters made. I liked the incorporation of Shakespeare and I adored the way it handled different coming out experiences for LGBTQ people. I can understand the pressure and why the protagonists made certain decisions because I mean, she’s in high school and she’s still learning from her mistakes. It’s a overall cute story and if you like Shakespeare, romance, and theater, this book is for you!
