Hazel has one love in her life: her bar. But after stressing and being responsible what she needs is to get off some steam, so when she arrives at her coven’s supernatural mixer the last person she expected to hook up with is the hot vampire... who just happens to be the new rival bar opening up across from her that is trying to steal her customers. Hazel meets Vlad and it’s instant attraction, but what was only suppose to be a one night stand grows into more as their bars rival one another and they both can’t seem to stay away from each other. Can they make it work despite their differences? Or will one of them have to lose their business? This was a super cute and sexy read!
A werewolf with a hex on him that prevents him from changing is desperate to get help... and the only person that can help him is the one person he never expected to steal his heart too. Mateo Cruz is a loner, he’s been unable to shift for the past three months and is slowly going mad listening to his wolf bombard him and never being able to change, its making him go a bit more on his primal side, particularly because his wolf wants to beat up everyone who even looks at them wrong. Mateo is desperate for help and he needs a hexbreaker... and the best one around is the witch Evie Savoie who’s coven has one rule” no werewolves. Yet when he appears in front of her desperate and begging she can’t help but soften a bit and bend the rules. Mateo finds that for some strange reason whenever Evie is around, his inner wolf is calm and isn’t constantly bombarding him with thoughts, enough that he can work on his art sculptures, but now he has to convince Evie to spend 4 hours a day with him to get his work done... yet there is an undeniable attraction between them. Evie is a witch who is content, not really happy, but content with her life, but now that there’s an extremely hot werewolf artist who just happens to adore her, she’s in for more than she ever expected. From cute movie nights, nerdy fandoms, magic, and romance, this was such a fun read and I definitely loved the dynamic between Evie and Mateo! I can’t wait to read the rest of the series and see the other couples!
A witch who is a near hermit finally comes out of her shell when she literally is run into by a vampire who might have found the one woman who is immune to his charm. Isadora Savoie is bad at peopling, she spends most of her time gardening or at her local animal shelter. She keeps to herself and likes it that way, she has a deathly fear of cars and prefers to bike everywhere... so when she goes biking at night she accidentally gets into an accident with Devraj Kumar, a new in town vampire warrior who is here for a job.... who also happens to be a famous bollywood star. Isadora wants nothing more than to get her bike fixed and as far away from his irritatingly good looks. Devraj can’t help but want to push all her buttons... and he has just become her new neighbor. When a case of missing girls is upon them, they’ll both have to work together in order save the girls before it’s too late.. all the while dealing with the undeniable attraction between them. Isadora knows she finds Devraj attractive but she knows his job requires him to constantly be on the move... and he’s a gorgeous movie star, he can’t really be interested in her... right? Devraj knows that one taste of Isadora won’t be enough, he’s playing for keeps, if only he can get her to see that they are perfect together the way he knows they are. Throw in cute Bollywood marathons, supernatural dating apps, a secret package, adorable dogs, and baked goods and you get a super cute witchy romance! I loved the chemistry between them and the story was a fun one to read, you also get cameos of the characters from the first book as well as hints as to the couple in the next book! I had a great time reading this and can’t wait to see where the third book goes!
She’s a witch who has only two dreams: opening up her own tattoo shop and finding her one true love, he’s a werewolf who knows one thing: she’s it for him. Violet Savoie is a Seer, and despite the warnings has done her own tarot reading for herself, and she knows she’ll meet her true love, but until she finds the one she’s going to keep trying different guys. Meanwhile she’s going to focus on opening up her magical tattoo shop where she caters to supernaturals in need of permanent charms. To help her with her tattoo shop is her business partner Nico.... and he spells trouble, from his gorgeous looks, to his beautiful singing voice, and the fact that they encountered each other at a New Years party years ago and he gave her the best night of her life before she ran away. Nico Cruz has known Violet was the one for him ever since they met at the New Years party years ago... but now he’s playing the long game to convince her he’s the perfect one for her. He’s moved into town, opened up a business with her, and become a part of her family gatherings... but she’s firmly kept him in the friendzone after reading their potential relationship cards and... possibly misreading them. Nico is in love with Violet and is doing everything to get her to see that they are perfect and Violet is doing everything to resist the burning temptation that has her wanting to jump him every single time they are in a room together... yet the attraction can only hold off for so long before they both explode. Yet when Nico’s former pack comes into town and an old friend shows far too much interest in VIolet, Nico is going to have to control the beast itching to get out and destroy anything that could harm Violet. Nico and Violet were a great couple, they’re chemistry was great and oh my gosh the way Nico was pining after Violet? Perfection. i loved them as a couple and can’t wait to read the next book in the series~!!
A super cute collection of moments between some of our favorite couples and soon to be couples with a dash of holiday magic. This was a super cute read and I loved the moments between all the couples, we get a cute one where Evie and Mateo help fix a conflict between a hexed guy and his cute witchy neighbor, then we have the secret santa that definitely has Devraj and Izzy with unexpected magic, Charlie and JJ finally get their cute romance story, Gareth and Lavinia’s first meeting and what we can expect from them next, and of course, Nico and Violet who take on babysitting while contemplating their own future. Super fun read and a nice addition to the series!
Victoria is a Wildwood, she was kidnapped at the age of six and manipulated by the Exotic Lands Touring Company... she is now 18 and a tour guide. She is forced to use her magic to protect travelers in a Jamaican jungle teeming with ghostly monsters and spirits. Victoria thinks this is finally her time to get the promotion of team leader but her backstabbing ex receives it instead, and despite her having the strongest magic on the team... she is not the image the boss wants to send to their new client, Thorn, a handsome renowned goldminer who wants the gold in the jungle. Victoria is barely just trying to get by ever since the incident in which she was sexually assaulted by the boss, she lives ib fear, for not only herself but those she cares about... so she stays quiet, never voicing her opinion, and just doing whatever the boss asks... but she wants this promotion to help her family... and to maybe escape. She is instead made to work with the new client and work under Dean, her ex who betrayed her in ways she can barely process. Thorn is charming, kind, confident, and handsome... and he just happens to fall for her. Yet in the expedition into a dangerous jungle along with scheming people and traitors in the group does not make a safe trip. While they fight to survive the jungle they must also survive each other. Victoria will have to ask herself if she is ready to unleash all her power and finally speak up against everything that has happened to her. The story deals with sexual assault, trauma, abuse, slavery, and colonization, definitely read the trigger warnings before you go into it. Unfortunately this one didn’t work for me, it started off rocky and ended eh. I guess it kind of just fell flat for me despite what the story was trying to do. I was initially interested in the book summary and definitely felt like it could be for me, but it just didnt. Despite that, do give it a go if you loved the author’s previous book!

Margaret Moore lives in an actual castle but for some reason her happily ever after has eluded her. After breaking up with her ex after years of a terrible relationship, he now won’t leave her alone and visits her work trying to get her back. Did I mention she lives in the Tower of London? After a particularly bad run in with her ex she literally runs into a gorgeous guy... who just happens to b a Royal Guard. Maggie now can’t stop thinking about Freddie, the cute guard but he keeps giving her the hot and cold. One moment he’s inviting her to hang out the next he’s distant and hasn’t contacted her in months. Maggie wants her happily ever after so she starts going on Tinder and getting help from some very fun and sweet Royal Guards but for some reason she can’t keep away from Freddie. Yet when Freddie returns, he is pretty adamant that they are good friends... yet the more he draws her into his life the more she discovers that he has complicated secrets and that maybe they were just never meant to be. Unfortunately, despite how cute this sounded, it fell flat for me. The story felt bland and definitely needed a bit more. Maggie and Freddie didn’t really feel like they had any chemistry and Maggie’s entire personality consisted of either being clumsy, crunk, or embarrassed and awkward about standing up for herself. Honestly, the romance never felt there and I just didn’t find myself interested in any of the characters or the story. It felt Hallmark-esque, but without any of the fun. Despite how cute this could have been it just didn’t meet my expectations. Though this one didn’t work out for me, definitely give it a go if you are looking for some English romance with a castle, royal guard, and secret royalty.

Later on she runs into his fiancee who tells her he called off the engagement and stood up to his father and then maggie runs to him and they get together.*Thanks Netgalley and Avon Books UK, Avon for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review*
Blood and honey, magic and bones, monsters and warriors, an unholy alliance, and a forbidden love. The perfect amount of gothic romance filled with betrayal, angst, and what it means to embrace your inner monster.
A girl who has dedicated her life to being a warden- a necromantic warrior who guards against unholy monsters known as the vespertine finds herself making unholy alliances to save those she cares for as well as uncovering her own family secret... and finding a forbidden love. Everline Blackthorn has only ever wanted to prove to her father that she is worthy, that she is a good enough warden to be looked at with love and treated like she belonged. However, after her mother left and the fact that Everline has no magic, something that all wardens have, she has been deemed tainted and treated as an outcast. Strange omens begin to occur.... as Everline encounters a vespertine that appears almost like a girl... and soon a blood moon appears, just like the one that appeared all those years ago when her mother left and the monsters breached the wall. Evelrine knows there is something deeper going on and the only way to find answers about her mother and her own life is to go beyond the wall and into the heart of the Thousandfold, the vespertine enclave protected by powerful magic where a dark saint is bound. Yet when she begins her journey her best friend is kidnapped and the only way to save her is to make the unholiest of alliances... with a vespertine boy who would sooner cut her throat than help her because the very monster she killed earlier was his sister... but they both need each other if they want to survive. Ravel may be a monster but he is the only person who can guide Everline through the dangerous lands.. and in exchange she will allow him to feed from her... yet this is the greatest sin, she is breaking all her vows just by letting him live... but the more they begin to spend time together the more the lines between enemies begins to blur and the more they realize they have in common. A warden and a monster, a dangerous quest filled with blood, magic, betrayal, and love... this was one of the best enemies to lovers, dark gothic romance I’ve read this year. There I said it. I DEVOURED THIS. I stayed up until 4 am finishing this because I couldn’t stop. I am obsessed. Monster boy meets warrior girl, both outcasts, bound by their duty to their family, raised to kill and be enemies, yet their loneliness, the fact that they can’t meet their parents expectations but have found comfort in the most unlikely person, they are everything. This book stole my heart with it’s gorgeous atmosphere, the amazing romance, and I can’t wait for it to come out. So yes, PLEASE ADD IT TO YOUR TBR IMMEDIATELY.

A girl who cannot die and is cursed to see Death is given a new mystery to solve in order to find the potential murderer who is trying to kill her new family. Signa Farrow has always had the ability to see Death and to survive death. No matter how many times she has tried to kill herself... she just can’t die. Orphaned as a baby she has spent the last 19 years of her life moving from guardian to guardian, whose only interest is in her wealth. When Signa arrives at her last remaining relatives, the Hawthornes she discovers a mystery brewing. The Hawthornes are an eccentric group of people who live at Thorn Manor. Elijah, the patriarch of the family is mourning the loss of his dead wife and throws parties to hide it while his son Percy is struggling to just maintain the family’s reputation, and the daughter Blythe is suffering from the same mysterious illness that killed her mother. When Death begins talking to Signa more and offering to help her with her mysterious abilities... she begins to find that maybe she isn’t as alone as she thought and that maybe Death isn’t the enemy she thought him out to be. Soon they come together to solve the mystery of Thorn manor before more of Signa’s relatives die... and maybe Signa might discover who she really is and what it means to be able to be so close to Death. This was a beautiful gothic romance mixed in with a murder mystery. I had so much fun reading this book and AM JUST SO EXCITED FOR THE NEXT ONE ALREADY!!! I adored how strong Signa was, despite everything that has happened to her, she was determined to protect those she loved and she is so caring. Death, now I swooned for Death. Sign me up. I loved their dynamic so much, definitely my favorite trope of Enemies-to-Lovers mixed in with two star crossed lovers with a splash of “I hate you but i need your help” trope. Seriously this book was just perfection. Signa and Death? i absolutely need more of these two together. I love their playful and teasing banter and how they love. So if I haven’t gotten it across enough, yes please read this beautiful book!

Jules Savoie is a powerful Enforcer and leader, Ruben Dubois is the vampire overlord of New Orleans... and they have a complicated past. Twelve years ago they were in a relationship and then Jules ended it... but ever since then Ruben has been biding his time playing the long game. Giving Jules the space and time she needs but time is up now and he is going to get his witch, because Ruben knows something Jules doesnt, she’s his soulmate, and she’s the only one for him. Jules has had to work hard to establish herself as a respected and capable leader, but her one dark little secret is that Ruben is the only thing she can’t resist. She’s afraid of the temptation of him, of giving herself to him... of giving into her obsession with him. She had to cut it out before she succumbed but now 12 years later and he’s proven himself to have changed and Jules is tired of seeing all her sisters get their happily ever afters while she stands by... she’s tired of resisting Ruben and is ready to finally open herself up to him. All the while they both are working together to fight for the werewolf cause they campaign together at covens from New Orleans to London, all this time together and they’ll have to face the pains of their past if they want to have a future together. They’ll have to address why they didn’t work in the past and why they can work now. I adored the relationship between Ruben and Jules, I’m not the biggest fan of second chance romances but this one really worked for me. Ruben is great with communication, clearly laying out the truth and his intentions, and I always appreciate the : forward and upfront aspect in relationships where the partner clearly lays out the truth. Jules fears were valid and I loved that she got to address them and work towards a happier and healthier relationship for herself. This was a fantastic addition in the series and I can’t wait to see where the next book goes!
