I thought that this was a great collection of Shakespeare's poems. They were all easily formatted for reading and I thoroughly enjoyed them.

A horror novelist with a traumatic past and a retired fireman with deep scars. When these two neighbors find themselves running into each other, they soon find that they just might be what the other needs. Andi Lockley is a horror novelist and a horror movie enthusiast, but the real horror is the scars from her traumatic past that has her feeling extremely anxious and paranoid. Hill Dawson is a former firefighter who has retired due to a severe injury that has left him scarred both physically emotionally when he finds that his ex-fiancee has cheated on him with his best friend during his recovery. Both Andi and Hill have sworn off relationships and have been trying to deal with their demons but somehow they find themselves in a friendship filled with cooking lessons and horror movie marathons... and something more.

This was a sweet and emotional read about two people who are dealing with very traumatic events and healing. Learning to trust one another and to find the joy in the unexpected. I loved Andi so much, she was such a fun protagonist to read from and as a fellow horror movie enthusiast and reader, she is definitely someone I would love to watch horror movies with! Hill was a great romance interest as he was someone who understand Andi and all her needs, someone who was attentive and careful, who took their time and made sure that Andi felt okay with every step of their relationship. Overall, I had a great time reading this and getting to know Andi and Hill (and Andi’s amazing taste in horror movies!)

Kate Sweet is called to help her best friend plan a bestselling horror writer’s book launch, an event that could help her win the ultimate award for her event planning skills.... except from the first moment she meets Drake Matthews, it is chaos....almost like an absolute nightmare. Drake Matthews is tired of the spotlight and is struggling to write his next book... and his secret book. But when a gorgeous woman literally jumps him, Kate and Matthew find that despite all the mishaps and chaos, they might actually have a connection. This was such a fun read. I loved getting to know Kate and Drake! They were both great characters and seeing them fall in love was adorable. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone looking for a sweet read!

A Princess Bride inspired story? SIGN ME UP! The first book in the duology and oh boy was it amazing! The story follows princess Amarande of Ardenia as she deals with the mysterious sudden death of her father and is given the ultimatum: marry a stranger at sixteen or lose the crown. Amarande was raised to be a warrior and after failing to get the council to change the law to allow her to rule without being forced to marry a stranger she must also deal with another threat.... her childhood friend and true love, stable boy Luca is kidnapped and she is threatened that if she does not marry one of her suitors he will be killed. But Ama is not having any of that, threatening her and threatening those she loves? Big mistake. Now Ama must go on a journey to rescue her stable boy, fight off bandits, and thwart the attempts by maniacal princes. I absolutely adored this story and AMA!!! SHE WAS SUCH AN AMAZING PROTAGONIST! I loved her ferocity and her strength. I loved how much faith Luca had for her and I just enjoy where the love between two people is just understood. They love each other and have faith in one another and that is just wonderful. Seriously READ THIS!

A kingdom to reclaim, a love reunited, and family secrets revealed. Picking up after the events of the first book, Ama is returning to her kingdom after saving her beloved...only to find that her runaway mother has come back and given the throne to her bastard brother. Luca is on his own journey, of claiming his kingdom and joining the resistance. With so much political intrigue and betrayals at every turn... soon Ama finds herself finding help in the most unexpected ally and betrayal from those closest to her. I have to say I definitely enjoyed the continued journey of Ama and Luca.. and I must take a moment to say that THE STANDOUT STAR OF THIS BOOK IS TAILLEFER!!! He has become one of my favorites, he is complex, a little crazy, ambitious, manipulative and getting to know him more in this book was a joy. He was a tragic character, yes he did what he had to and yes he was not the most stable person, but the one thing I did like about him is just how much he didn’t hesitate in achieving his goals and how he adapted to situations and planned for things. I am so happy to find out that there will be a third book!! The ending for this book was a bit abrupt but finding out that the story continues I can’t wait to see where we go. Ama and Luca once again are such an amazing couple, they both love and trust one another and will fight to the death for each other. Ama, continues to be an amazing protagonist, and I do adore a girl who is fights with a sword and is not afraid to fight her way out of things! So I definitely would recommend this for anyone who enjoyed the first book and I can’t wait for the next one!

Dance, cooking, and disasters. Radha is a kathak dancer who after a family betrayal has stopped dancing. She is determined to never dance in a competition or performance again and just get through her last year before college. She makes a deal with her mother to work through the dance course at a prestigious program and in return her mother will pay for her half of her college tuition. Jai is the captain of the Bollywood Beats dance team and desperately needs to win the competition in order to not only get money for college but to prove his skills along with helping his fellow teammates. After a literal run into one another Jai and Radha find that they both be what the other might need. Filled with dancing, amazing recipes, and romance and family drama, this is a fast paced story that wraps up nicely. I enjoyed the relationship between Radha and her father, especially seeing them bond over cooking. There were so many recipes in this book that I definitely feel the need to try!

A supernatural mystery that is a really short short read. Volume 1 ends up with a cliffhanger. The artwork was really pretty and I am interested in the backstory of all these characters. Overall a pretty interesting read.

The Village meets Needful things in this story about one small village and the monsters in it. Ellerie Downing has lived an isolated life in Amity Falls, surrounded by forests, and working on tending to her family’s beehives and taking care of her sisters. She dreams of bigger things yet her twin brother remains careless and free to do as he pleases. Life in Amity Falls is not like many others, early town settlers have fought off monstrous creatures in the woods....and suddenly rumors have started again that they are back. Throw in people dying in mysterious and gruesome ways, missing storage, sabotage, and resentments brewing and secrets coming to light and soon Amity Falls is beginning to fall apart. It does not help that there is a mysterious new boy in town who claims to be visiting with his trapper companions... and has taken a liking to Ellerie but remains tight lip about his secrets. Soon Ellerie begins to realizes that the residents’ desires are coming true, and the creatures are indeed real and back. Now Ellerie must figure out what is going on and how to protect her sisters before its too late.

This was such a fun read! I adored The Village and Needful Things so this was just a great time for me. The mystery was a fun one to try and unravel and the magical element just worked so well. I really enjoyed getting to know Ellerie and Whitaker. Their chemistry was sweet and I loved that we got to go through the seasons in this story. I am a sucker for any kind of murder mystery set in a small community where secrets start coming to life and everyone is suspect. This one was particularly interesting with the whole creature aspect! I highly recommend this chilling yet magical read that has a dash of romance!
