What would you do if you were a vampire? The story follows the lives of four criminal vampires who rob, kill, and do everything in between over the courses of their lives. They’re stylish, sinful, and will do anything to stave off their boredom and get blood. As with the changing world, new challenges arise and getting blood just isn’t as easy as it use to be and committing crime will get harder to get away with especially when someone from their past is hellbent on capturing them. It was definitely an interesting and fun read! The artwork was really nice and the story was action packed!

Sometimes magic is not the answer to everything. Will Crumrin has returned to the mortal after hundred of years in the real of faeries, and to help him adjust is his big sister Courtney Crumrin ( a sorceress). The charm she gives him renders him the most popular kid in school and he soon finds out that being the most popular and liked is not all its cracked up to be. Things get out of hand and magic starts to bring chaos and along it all a dark force is waiting in the shadows to capture his sister. Can Will fix everything before it’s too late and he loses his only true friend and his sister?
This was a fun and magical read! It definitely is a wonderful fairytale-esque story and deals with a lot of interesting situations. I loved the monsters and the use of magic in the story and of course we get to see our favorite sorceress Courtney Crumrin!!

Review:
A dark and gothic retelling of Cinderella? Sign me up!! This is a mixture of cinderella and the good ol faustian story. Set in the Victorian era, Ella was once taken in by the lady of house as if she were her own daughter until she died and now Ella has been stationed as a lowly maid instead. With the new position comes new horrors: work that breaks her body down, peers who hate her, and the biggest threat of the house, her once step-father/ legal guardian who has been raping the maids and firing them, and Ella realizes any day she could be next. The only comfort she has is the library and when she stumbles upon a particular book a very strange woman with black eyes appears and offers her a deal, 7 wishes for her soul. Ella agrees and thats when dead bodies start dropping with every wish she makes. One mistake after another, and with every wish a new murder results and Ella loses a piece of her soul.
I adored the premise of this story and I thought it had so much potential to be amazing. Ella is a 17 year old girl and if I am being honest, irritated me. I liked her at some parts but other times I just couldn’t understand her rationale. Ella is not careful with her wishes, and everytime she made a wish I wanted to scream at her to think carefully, to word carefully, to make better wishes. If these wishes are going to cost you your soul and a murder results, you’d think the wishes would be better thought out. She wastes her first wish on a pair of shoes. Her soul for a pair of shoes. I can’t. When Ella starts trying to do things herself, I actually really liked her. She cares for her friends, she wants to help, she tries to protect the other younger girls from the master of the house. I actually enjoyed her more ruthless nature, like yes girl. Take matters into your own hands. Her romance with Charles was fine. I just didn’t really care for it as much. I care about Ella’s relationship with the maids, Aoife and Leah, those were the people that really brought out the best in her. Overall the story has a predictable course as you read it, the ending is drawn out perfectly clear. It’s definitely an interesting take on the Cinderella story.

A super sweet story about animals and the moon. The artwork was really well done and it just makes a great read for kids! It’s short and sweet and really nice!
A girl with magic forced to be something she’s never wanted bond to an undead spirit and falling for a deadly princess. Rovan grew up hiding her bloodmage magic, ever since her father died trying to keep her powers hidden. After saving a friend and accidentally revealing her powers, she is forced into the palace and forced to be bond to a spirit and forced to be used as a bloodmage for the kingdom. On top of that, she uncovers more startling secrets and finds that she essentially has no free will. Rovan is trapped, and doing everything in her power to rebel and break free. She finds that the palace is hiding more secrets and that the only way to break herself free is to sacrifice.
This was definitely an interesting story and I was all for the LGBTQ+ representation and various relationship representations, from asexual, pansexual, lesbian, and straight. The story really packs a lot into the characters and the twists were great. The star for me the entire book was Rovan. I absolutely adored her. She was badass, she was fierce, and she was caring. She did not take things sitting down and she fought tooth and claw to get her freedom. The relationship between Rovan and her handsome undead spirit guide (who essentially has the ability to harm and control her, and has his own agenda for her), and the beautiful princess is definitely an interesting dynamic for a polyamorous relationship.Taking into considerations the agenda for each characters and their motivations I was able to get past some of my initial gripes with the characters because its definitely understandable, especially when you look from their perspective and what is at stake for them.
Overall, I really liked this book! The plot twists and turn were great. The magic system was really interesting. The characters were well fleshed out and the dynamics between them were interesting. So I definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a great read with magic, the undead, romance, and political intrigue.
