Ruby Graham has always loved the Royale Theater, and when the owner and her best friend Matty Delvin dies, he leaves half of the theater to her and half to his nephew. Luke Delvin has never been one for the movies, growing up with famous actor parents and having a strained relationship with it, he suddenly finds out his uncle who he was never close with has left him with half the ownership to a theater that is in heavy debt and a strange girl that might be his uncle’s girlfriend? Suffice to say, things get off to a rocky start between Ruby and Luke, and they but heads over the theater. Ruby wants to save the theater in memory of Matty but Luke just wants nothing to do with it. Throw in an arrests, community service, movie outings, and a enemies to lovers thing and this is what we get. The story was a fun read and the overall ending was a nice one. I just found myself not getting into it as much as I had hoped, I was initially won over by the premise but the execution just left something lacking for me. Overall it’s a cute romance read and would make a sweet read for all those movie rom com lovers out there.

Diana and Jeremy have always been life long frenemies, full of snarky banter, and unresolved sexual tension. A few years down the road and Diana has become a widow and Jeremy’s grandmother is trying to get him to marry. Thus begins their first bet: If Diana manages to get Jeremy married within a year he owes her 100 Pounds. Diana, now a widow, is finally free and has her money, her freedom, and is enjoying being able to flirt and just live. Jeremy, experiences a rather alarming breakup with his mistress who calls to his attention that he might not be as great in bed as he had thought. Jeremy proposes to Diana, an arrangement in which she becomes his lover and helps him on his bedroom skills and in turn he’ll help her by gossiping to other gentlemen that she’s interested in a lover. Throw in some friends, various matchmaking plots, some twists and turns, and the very sweet romance that springs between these to characters who just love to loathe and poke fun at each other. This story was one to definitely love, and I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a cute rom com!

Before she was writing the amazing stories she did, Jane Austen....solved mysteries! This was a fun mystery book and an interesting take on the adventures of Jane Austen. She’s 13, feisty, and ready to solve a mystery! It’s a great read for middle grade readers or anyone who likes a different interpretation of Jane Austen. Theres a great theme of friendship in the story and the weaving of historical mannerisms and customs was great.

A adorable story about a bear’s adventure in upcycling. The story follows a little bear’s journey into finding a “thingity-jig” and taking it home to show his friends, who unfortunately are all asleep. It’s a great story about upcycling and finding the joy in something old and making it something new. It’s a great read for kids and teaching them the fun of upcycling!

A collection of poems about the one ex who leaves you, you know, the one that leaves a mark, the one that you just can’t get out of your head, the one that did the most damage. It’s a collection of poems about a relationship that did not work, the lingering feelings, the memories, the growing, the healing, and the closure. I really enjoyed reading these poems and could empathize with the author. The feelings were relatable and the poems were beautiful. If you like poems about romance, about growing, about moving on, this would be for you.

The fires that light the way to freedom, Pran and Oksana, two children who were stolen from their families and forced to become fire-wielding soldiers, will finally light the way to freedom. The story is set in a world where children are stolen from their families and forced to enlist in the army where they are experimented on, tortured, and killed, all for the emperor. Their lives are brutal, horrific, and painful, yet Pran dreams of snatching freedom for them and Oksana just wants to keep Pran alive and live to get back to her family again. It’s a great story about persevering, hope, love, and endurance. I really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it!
