I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Definitely a fun read and very clever. The tying in of other fairy tales was seamless. Can't wait to read "Jack" and "Red" !
A wonderful story of unlikely friendship and discovery! Trying new things can be scary but when you have friends by you you can be amazed at how brave you really are. This will defnitely be a classic in no time. A must read for any Mo Willems fan and as always, Tony Diterlizzi's illustrations are magnificent.
You don't need a lot of words to tell a beautiful story. Ben Hatke's illustrations always speak for themselves and Little Robot is a great example of less is more. You can feel the urgency behind this new friendship and the desperation of needing to have another's company. Loved it.
Goes without saying that it is very well written. Homelessness is a tough subject to touch on and this story was honest and straightforward. Yes this tale involves an imaginary friend but being from the viewpoint of a child it feels so real. His thought process is genuine and although more grownup than you'd expect, it is also very much still the views of a child. Growing up is hard enough. Growing up with uncertainty of stability is even harder but Jackson does just that. With a little unexpected help.
