The extremely quirky MC was super annoying, I really tried to look past it but coupled with the love triangle 🙄 and the boring mystery, I just felt like I was wasting my time. 

I was really hoping to be as enamored with this one as I was with The Haunting of Hill House. Unfortunately, this was a flop. The vibes and atmospheric writing that made Hill House a fave, was completely nonexistent here. The short chapters plus the narration style made it all feel matter of fact. 7% in and I was already bored out of my mind. So, Hard DNF. Don’t think I’m ever coming around to picking this one back up again.
