I really enjoyed this book. I found it hard to put down and I was so anxious to keep going to find out what happened.
I am really, really loving the character growth we’ve seen but also the depths we’re getting to see to them.
The ending made me need to immediately read the first chapter of the next book before writing this.

This was a fun and quick read. I didn’t realize this was a spin off, so it goes to show it can be read as its own thing!
Interesting premise and characters. It was a nice and easy read for me to take a break from heavier stuff.

I really enjoyed this book. While I did find it a little slow at times, overall the pacing worked for me. We learned a lot about the characters and the world itself. It drew me in right away and I liked the main character. I often find the leads in these sorts of books hard to like but I liked her and the chemistry between her and two other characters.
We get two main POVs and they were both intriguing and it was interesting to see their perspective on things.
This quote was my favourite: ‘ I’d never thought what my favorite color was before
…
It never seemed important.
Not until I looked into a pair of sky blue eyes and realized that perhaps falling was a peaceful thing.
…
“Blue” I say, my voice low.’

This is my favourite in this series so far and I’m starting to understand the hype.
The characters and world are being fleshed out a lot more and we’re beginning to understand things about the world and the characters. The depth of the characters continues to grow in this one and it makes it so much better to see the complexity in the decisions and behaviours of the characters. Things aren’t so black and white.
There definitely felt like more was happening in this one. The pace felt faster and it was more interesting. And the chemistry between some of the characters was amazing.
I’m excited to get to the next instalment in the series.

Thank you to Orbit and NetGalley for my ARC.
All opinions in this review are my own.
When I read the premise, I knew I had to give this book a shot. A little paranormal investigation sounded so intriguing.
Right away, I liked the narrator. Jericho felt down to earth and her thought process was fun to read.
I enjoyed the romance in this because it added a little to the book but it wasn’t overwhelming and it didn’t take away from the overall plot for me.
It was interesting to see things as they got fleshed out a bit more. The things Jericho discovered, how she discovered them and the end result of these things made for a fun read.
Overall, a quick, fun and kind of cozy read.

This was a fun, short little read. It felt like there was a haunting vibe to this, and it was interesting learning about the story and getting to see it unfold a bit. For such a short book, it definitely manages to fit a lot of feelings into it. The characters were interesting and I enjoyed learning about them. I loved seeing the differences made to go against the typical storylines.
Overall, a solid novella and I really enjoyed it.

Thank you to the publisher, the author and Netgalley for allowing me to have an ARC copy of this. All opinions expressed are completely my own.
This was my first Chevy Stevens novel and I loved it. I've had a few of her other novels on my TBR for awhile but just haven't got to them. I think after reading this, I might have to move those ones up and get to them sooner.
As someone who lives in BC, I really loved the setting for this. I often read so many novels taking place in other areas and it was so fun to be able to recognize the names and actually have a concept of where stuff was taking place.
I really enjoyed getting to read this. It was suspenseful and gave me anxiety at points, but also I happened to just feel sad for some of the characters. I found Jenny to be a complex character, and I loved the depth that she was given.
I also really liked Alice and her portrayal. It felt a lot more realistic to me than a lot of books but yet she still came off as brave and like a strong woman.
I was also really happy with how this ended. Overall, a solid read. I really liked it.

Thank you to NetGalley, Saga Press/S&S and the author Cecilia Edward for an ARC copy of this book. This is my honest review.
This wasn't a genre I usually read, but I wanted to try something different and I'm glad I did. The cover and title is what drew me in, but the plot was what made me stay. This was a fun, stand alone with a lot of comedic moments. One of my favourite parts was that the character was older. The overall concept was also really intriguing. A witch having to learn to adapt to suddenly being 350 years in the future was chaos in the best way.
My favourite character was probably the cat. And I loved the relationship between the cat, Bandit, and Thorn. I loved their banter, and I loved the character and attitude that Bandit gave off.
I did feel some aspects were a bit rushed, but that's a personal preference. I would have liked to see her learning things, and not being told that she had learned things especially when it came to using cell phones, and apps. And I would have liked to see her relationship with Meg develop a bit. It felt like we were just told that she'd helped her, but we didn't really get to see a lot of that interaction. But overall, I really enjoyed this read.
This was a really nice cozy read, and a great way to break up my other reads.

I enjoyed this book more than the first one. It feels like a lot of things are coming together and I found most of the characters to be more bearable. It was great to see depth given to some characters who fell flat for me in the first one.
I’m also really enjoying seeing the relationships develop and change between the characters.

I ended up starting this book ahead of the recommended reading order because I was struggling to get through the first book due to my hatred of the boys in it. I thought this one might add some more nuance, and it definitely did. I did tandem read this with the first book despite the possibility of spoilers.
While I still think it's gross what was happening, having the background and seeing their perspective made them feel a bit more grey to me and that was really helpful to me. This book made the characters seem a bit more complex and have some more depth to them. I am looking forward to seeing where it goes from here, and am curious as to how they may redeem themselves because I do predict that is in their future.
