Klune has an amazing way of making despicable characters into ones that you root for and Wallace is just that. This book depicts death and grief in a way that I could have never expressed but just made sense. As someone who is not overtly religious, it was refreshing to read about an afterlife that is like coming home and not about a place where you are judged. We are all human and we have all done good and bad things. This book is absolute perfection.
TJ Klune is my new favorite author. I will forever be his cheerleader because of the way his books make me FEEL. The ache I feel in the pit of my stomach for his characters when they’re hurting and utmost joy I feel for them when they’re succeeding. He’s not like any other author. Truly.

I am very conflicted about this read. The basis of the novel is fantastic and I loved the ending. However, the structure of the story was infuriating. The chapters set in the present were captivating but the chapters set in the past, I felt stunted the story. I was just not sold on the fact that those chapters were necessary, at least not throughout the entire novel. Henry’s whole character saved this rating from being much worse. Unfortunately, I am glad to be finished.
⭐️3.5⭐️ Okay this book was fun, spicy, and spooky. It wasn’t very sophisticated or surprising but it was an easy, enjoyable read. Perfect for this time of year.
*Read this a while ago and needed to come back to review* This book still sits with me as the most frustrating endings ever. I finished this book on a vacation and was sitting by a pool in Greece literally pissed because of the ending. It has kept me from picking up any other Rooney novels which is unfortunate because I know people love her most recent. The series made me feel a different way and I am grateful for that.
⭐️3.5⭐️ This book is so British it brought me right back to living in England. It did take a while for me to get into it because of the language and how many characters there are but I definitely enjoyed it. It was a slow burn mystery that did a great job of developing characters. I will definitely pick up the next one!
Oh wow. Ithacans everywhere need to read this book. Especially if you went to IC. It broke and mended my little Ithaca heart. *Read Allison Larkin’s interview with the Cornel Daily Sun!!*
I sometimes have trouble with novels that are only about a person’s journey without any real plot. However, Larkin’s writing changed that for me. She writes truthfully and beautifully and makes you root for April so hard. This novel gave me serious Waitress vibes which made me love it more.

Had to come back to this one because I hate reading ebooks on my phone but discovered I had the audio book! (I know these books are made for children but that doesn’t mean the narrator has to be so cringe).
I liked this one a lot because of the strengthening of Annabeth and Percy’s relationship, especially after they were apart for so long. I am looking forward to finally finishing this series. It will never compare to the first one but still feels very nostalgic.

A brilliant idea and great story. Some parts were definitely slow and I think I had expected it to be fast pace all the way through like the movie. 10/10 audio book.
