This was very enjoyable. The second half had me flying through pages. However, at times it felt disjointed like the fantastical elements were just not fleshed out enough. And the end was not as satisfying as I would have hoped. Such a cool and original premise though. Maps are cool????!

I am not a tvshow/movie first, book second kind of girl and I didn’t mean to do that with Heartstopper but there is something so special about reading this and also seeing the tv show play out in my head. I, like everyone else, would DIE for these characters.

Definitely my favorite volume.

So excited to see some of these scenes in the show!!!

The conversations about hard topics in this volume specifically are so great!!!! I hope young people can learn a lot from these. god i sound old…. 

This is definitely one of those books that you have to read at the right time to connect with it. Unfortunately, it had little affect on me. I am also the type of reader who likes more plot driven stories and this is basically all character work. 

A stellar mystery that had me feeling like I was dropped in a YA Knives Out. 

I can’t believe I didn’t know who Sarah McBride was until I read this…..Shame on me.

If you have someone in your life that is trans and worry about their safety and future, this is a great book to read. It’s easy to go to a dark place, especially now, but this book has a lot of hope. Sarah is a strong and powerful role model who has gone through major life events and made it through to the other side. Her story is an inspiring one and I look forward to seeing her continue to kick ass for the trans community of Delaware and the entire country. 

Absolutely loved. 

This was such a breath of fresh air as well as an important story for young people everywhere. His story can relate to so many immigrant families and people who are trying to pursue a dream that seems far fetched. Why wait to tell your story once it’s over? Tell it while it’s relevant!

Jeez this man can work!!!! And damn did it pay off.

Grateful to have gotten to see Simu talk about the book in person. He’s rad and one of my favorite superheroes everrrrrrr.
