I love that Allison's first thought when she realized that she needed to get into shape was to go to the library to research sports.
However, I'm a little sad that her new friend Tory was never mentioned after this book. This is especially annoying because one of the big issues dealt with in this book was how it was okay to have friends outside their own "best friend" group. It happened with Laurel and Katie during Peer Pressure too. Laurel shows up as part of Stacy's group later, but we never see her hanging out with Katie again!

Somehow I failed to realize this was meant for a younger audience. It's like reading a Wikipedia article on Corwin, but with a decidedly condescending tone.
I just really love killer whales, you guys. I wish I were a science-y person, 'cause I would totally study them for a living.
It wasn't very difficult to figure out who The Sin Eater really was, but that doesn't mean the ride to get there wasn't fun. I'm glad to see that the Father Keller loose end from the first novel was tied up, in an implied sort of way. I think the last few pages really gave us a good insight on Maggie's ethics.
Also, at this point I'm hoping she doesn't get together with Nick, because they are both desperately terrible at having adult conversions that involve real communication. It is so frustrating to read.
