Definitely skimmed the Gwen and Tully interactions. Their chemistry is nonexistent.

A bisexual woman in non-erotic fiction! It's like spotting a unicorn. Too bad the author had to give her such a terrible reputation.

Maggie really hates getting close to any dude, huh.
I'm pretty sure she's (mistakenly or otherwise) drawn her gun on every guy in the series who's shown interest in her.

How could a book about domestic terrorism, mercenaries and bombings be so boring?

I might be biased because I breezed through 9 books in this series in 3 days, but Maggie's complete inability to deal with her emotional health has become a very tired trope. She never ever seems to move forward with her relationships and never contemplates trying to heal her traumatized state of mind. Considering how many times her lack of sleep (nightmares) and general insomnia are mentioned throughout the series, I'm amazed she can function as a human being, let alone an agent for the FBI.

I will probably pick up the last two in the series just to see if she finally, finally does something different but I am not holding my breath.

If I can guess who the killer is, maybe it's not hidden well enough. Still, this was a much more enjoyable story than several of the previous books.

Maybe enjoyable is not the right word to use when speaking of serial killers and dismembered bodies ...

Such a nitpick, but modern teenagers in the Midwest do not say "oh my word, no!" when confronted with terrible news.
