Teddy Roosevelt is EXACTLY how I always pictured him.

NDB, just big game huntin' in the LOS ANGELES ZOO. Like you do.
This new Marvel NOW! series is excessively gory and off-kilter, which is how Deadpool should be.

Loved the anecdotal format of this "series". For all that I rather dislike babies, I sure do love midwifery stories.
I really, really love the idea of women in science-fiction just being lone travelers. It is not a trope seen often. Dreamsnake reminds me of Steerswoman in this regard, especially since both main characters are caretakers of knowledge (in different formats).
All I can remember about my first impression of this book is "why would Anne ever want to get rid of her red hair?" Even as a kid, I loved gingers.
How could I not pick up a book with a name so similar to my own? (... and that's all I remember)
Definitely my favorite Megamorphs of all time. I read this deep into my "I want to be a paleontologist" phrase, so I was captivated by the descriptions of the landscapes and creatures. I vividly remember the scene where Rachel and Tobias have to run, in "regular form", away from a pack of predatory deinonychus. I knew what those were! I could picture them in my mind! How terrifying! It really got the ol' heart pumpin'.
"I never knew words could be so confusing," Milo said to Tock as he bent down to scratch the dog's ear.
"Only when you use a lot to say a little," answered Tock.
Milo thought this was quite the wisest thing he'd heard all day.

Very exciting to read a book that is based on a (fictional) town very close to my own tiny hometown! Julia Spencer-Fleming certainly has the character voices down for this particular area of Upstate NY.
Claire did not live up to my expectations, given her very interesting description in the synopsis. She makes foolhardy decisions that belie her experience as an Army vet. The mystery was good, perhaps more interesting to me because of the setting.
As always, I could have done without the romantic angle - we can't have female priest/male cop buddy time without sexual tension?! Man. This is especially true since one of the parties is MARRIED.

The look into the life of a contemporary Orthodox Jewish woman was way more interesting the mystery. Also, the male main character is obnoxious and gross.
