I've never been so drunk that Russian Roulette sounds like a good idea to me. These were some dumbass teenagers. I don't even feel bad saying that.
But damn, Kate is cold in this story.

This is a somewhat unfair rating, as I've only read "Tacky" by Charlaine Harris (being unfamiliar with the other series). That being said, I enjoyed it immensely as I do with anything in her Sookie-universe.

One fanatical young man faced Dahlia's approach and held open his arms to either side, proclaiming, "I am ready to die for my faith!"
"Good," Dahlia said, somewhat startled that he was being so obliging. She separated him from his head with a quick swipe of the knife.

Again, I only read the story that Harris contributed to this collection. I think Pam & Dahlia would have been great friends - surely they might know one another, since Thalia is a friend of Dahlia's? I have hopes that maybe they will cross paths in future short stories.
Dahlia is such a badass, though. Love her.

It was a bad day."

Wow, I forgot how much I love this couple! I think Briggs handles the issue of Anna's PTSD very well, considering werewolves. Heroine finding inner ferocity is one of my favorite tropes when done correctly.
I was right - the book was more about Jane's terrible love life and shitty love interests than the plot of vampires and witches. I hope she gets with neither of them. Two stars for the action scenes between longing looks and self-recrimination.
