Words cannot express how surprised I was at this series. Arthur is clearly his own man, trying to do good and dealing with the ridicule of being ~Aquaman~. There's a huge time lapse between his father's death and present time. I can't wait to see the backstory.

Plus! Mera! A sea goddess, a true badass. I love this couple.

Doesn't hurt that Arthur sure is purty.

Really, the thong straps coming out of her low-slung jeans? I could have done without that, but she's a teenager just learning her way through human society. This is how I choose to interpret her fashion, despite the fact that it's really just meant for the male-gaze (both drawing and viewing).

Superman and Batman as bros are my one of my favorites, falling just short of Ted and Booster (though they are in a completely different category). I love their inner narrations about one another.

I look forward to the second volumes when FF is by itself. The Moloids are my favorite.

I love Peeg. I love her relationship with Terra. I love her snark, even when she's being mushed to the ground.

I love that she kicks sexists in their teeth (literally and metaphorically). And I love Amanda Conner's art. I know Peeg's background is essentially "poor man's lady version of Superman", but I think the development of her character has shown that she is a completely separate personality.
