Haven’t decided on a rating yet I‘m unsure - I’ll wait until I do my CAWPILE review. But it’s really good
It was such a fun reread I loved reading about all the mysteries! And I‘m still impressed how well this is done. All these mysteries tie together and get solved in the last 5 chapters ♥️
We only know then
- who put Harry’s Name in the Goblet of Fire?
- what happened to Bertha Jorkins?
- what happened to Barty Crouch?
- how does Rita Skeeter know what happened without being there?
- what’s up with Ludo Bagman and the Goblins? Why is he helping Harry?
- what’s up with Fred & George and who are they writing to?
- why is Karkaroff nervous and what is he showing Snape on his arm?
It’s just brilliant! My favorite book in this reread so far! I’m just dreading book 5 because I hate to read about Umbridge 😫

I listened to this half on audio and read the other half in physical form because the audio was becoming too slow and I wanted to keep reading and know what happens which is a big plus!
This was such an interesting book especially after the first half it really picks up. I can totally recommend the audiobook narrated by 5 people, I really liked it.
I would genuinely agree with the Game of Thrones comparison if it was YA. It had a similar vibe to me and I constantly feared for the (side) characters which is another plus!
I‘m not sure on my rating yet I might feel like a 4,5 currently. It’s a bit long but I don’t want to nick too many points for that. Well I’m going to wait and see what I think after a week or so. But I’m really positively surprised after seeing so many bad reviews.

I know this might be pretty cheesy and it was very obvious what’s going to happen but boy oh boy I enjoyed every minute of it 😅
I just finished my third reread in the last three years since I started rereading Harry Potter annually, I don’t know how often I have read these books for I only have Goodreads since a couple of years. But I always said this was my second least favorite after chamber of secrets, strangely I enjoyed it this time so much more I don’t even know What’s happening 😅🙈 I hated reading about Umbridge especially because she never really got what she deserved, but there was so much I had missed tiny hints and details that were so funny, I actually laughed out loud sometimes! It was so much fun and makes it just harder to select a ranking 😫😅
Maybe my ranking is now

😅 but maybe I’ll change my mind when I finish my annual reread who knows.
