I was definitely expecting more on West Wing so the book was a little disappointing but it was well written and a nice, fresh take on growing up as a struggling actor.

This was my first book by Gaiman and I can now understand why everyone loves him. The pure lyricism in the prose is breathtaking. Even if it felt a little too fantastical at times, it truly was a wonderful read!

This is such a dense book. I suggest taking it a chapter at a time to really let everything sink in. But it's also a great educating book - Kendi explains racism and antiracism not just as something whites did, but as something everyone did with different methods. There's so many terms sprinkled throughout- uplift suasion, polygenesis, antiracism, assimilation, etc. but Kendi does an excellent job explaining each and how each were used in their time periods and now.
