Is it possible for this guy to tell his tale without putting other people down? His arrogance killed the book for me.

I loved the movie so I thought I ought to read the book. However, the book is dry and it feels a little like a long list than a narrative. However, you have to give credit to them in the fact they are journalists and ground-breaking ones even if the book came out like an overdone turkey.

This book was beautiful and so poetic that at times I got swept up in the narration and lost the story. At times it was also so, so slow. Definitely not a Happily-Ever-After read and definitely not something for a light bedtime read, but an important and hauntingly beautiful one all the same.
