The first half was too slow and political. I was disappointed that Nina was in Fjerda this entire Duology - I wished we could have seen her interact with the other characters in Ravka.
I was very happy to see a Crows reunion. On the contrary, Alina and Mal’s appearance was short and awkward. The Taban queens and the Darkling’s return also seemed irrelevant.
Overall I was satisfied with the ending and it looks like there will be more to come in the Grishaverse. I look forward to what comes next.

Interesting concept, but I was unable to connect with the characters and story.
I couldn’t put this book down! Hands down one of the best contemporaries I’ve read. I loved the writing, short chapters, and of course the characters. This was a highly enjoyable read that I would recommend to all audiences.
In tears! This was very easy to get through. A beautiful story that better helps us understand what it is like to be trans. I recommend this to everyone!
