Anthologies like this are an excellent way to discover new authors and those featured were all new to me.
I liked the stories but I would preferred they were longer.
The authors are interesting and hope to read novels by them.

I love almanac and this was very interesting and informative.
There's plenty of explanations about British weather and a general introduction to weather.
There's also plenty of historical data and facts.

This is one of those books that kept me reading till late in the night as I couldn't stop reading.
It's the first i read in this series and I think it's brilliant.
It's a complex mystery that deals with serious issues like justice for all the victims, vigilantes, child abuse and grief.
It's a police procedural but it's also a story about life on the Irish border and the impacts of history on the life of common people.
The characters are complex and well developed, you can feel the empathy of the author towards all the victims.
It talks about murder but also about the passing of time, the changes in life and how grief affects our life.
It's heartbreaking at times, tense and full of twists.
I found it poignant, gripping and intense.
Highly recommended.

Prozac and her antics are back and i had a lot of fun in reading this mystery. Laura Levine is one of my favorite cozy mystery writers and I had high expectations for this new story.
I wasn't disappointed as it's highly entertaining and gripping.
I laughed a lot, read it in on sitting and thoroughly enjoyed the mystery even if I guessed the culprit quite early in the book.
Can't wait for the next story.
Highly recommended.

I can't wait to read the next instalment as it's an epic and gripping saga.
Twelve is an intriguing character, full of rage and strong. She's the girl I would have liked to meet when i started reading fantasy.
The author is a good storyteller, world building and character development are excellent.
Highly recommended.

It's a gripping and well researched book even if sometimes the author assumes that you know what he's talking about.
I already knew of some of the mysteries but had to check for others.
I found it entertaining and informative.

This is the first book i read in this series and won't surely be the last as I found it intriguing.
The mystery is solid, full of twists, and the characters are fleshed out.
I was fascinated by the cultural differences, the description of contemporary Shanghai and how this works in a crime story.
Highly recommended.

It's well written and well researched, the characters are fleshed but the pace was too slow and the story didn't keep my attention.
Not my cup of tea.
