Another well researched, comprehensive and well written book about Elements.
Tons of information, ideas and receipts, loved it.
Highly recommended.

It's a fascinating, entertaining and engrossing book that made kept me turning pages.
It's well written and I was fascinated by the historical and paranormal aspects of the story.
The dual timeline works well and I loved the characters as they are quite intense and relatable.
The only fault I can find is that the book is a bit too long and sometimes drags.
Excellent storytelling, world building and character development
Recommended.

I found the first half of this book extremely slow and was going to give up but I thought "one more chapter".
It was the right decision because the book became gripping and the pace faster.
A good mix of facts and fiction, a vivid historical background and an interesting story.
I enjoyed it but you have to be patient.

I read this book long time ago and thoroughly enjoyed it as I'm a fan of Georgette Heyer. Even if it's her first book it's highly entertaining and well written.
The language could be considered a bit date but this story also shows she was a master storyteller since the beginning.
All the elements of her future novels are already present and I was happy to re-read it.
The forewords was an interesting look at her work and at historical fiction.
You can read this book as a delightful romp or as a historical document.
Highly recommended.

This is an excellent book that moved me, made me laugh and kept me reading as I found it engrossing and entertaining.
It's a light read but it's also the story of a group of people of different ages, of their struggles and joy.
Lil is a great character, well rounded and relatable. You cannot help loving her, feeling for her hard life, and enjoying her antics.
I loved her and I loved Cassie, the free spirited daughter, and her lifestyle. Both share the same zest for life.
Even if they are my favorites all the characters, their stories, are interesting.
I loved the character development and how the author feels for the characters.
The plot is fast paced and gripping, the descriptions of the places are excellent and there's plenty of emotions.
Judy Leigh is an excellent author and this was my favorite story.
Highly recommended.

Gritty, gripping and highly entertaining. It's bit different from my usual read but i had a lot of fun in reading it and hope that the author will write other thriller.
The violent and criminal underbelly of Yorkshire, two great characters and a solid plot full of twists and turns.
Even if the book is quite violent there's plenty of humour that I appreciated.
An excellent story.
Highly recommended.

I loved the first instalment in this series and think this one is even better.
Mott, a highly functional autistic, is an unusual character for a cozy mystery setting but she's likeable and clever.
The author delivers another well plotted story, full of twists and turns, that kept me guessing.
Good character development, lovely setting and solid mystery.
Highly recommended.

An enjoyable, poignant and heartwarming story that made me smile and and wish I could join the book club.
It's a well written story, a romance between two relatable and fleshed out characters, and an interesting list of books I could read.
This is a debut and I cannot wait for the next book by this author as she's talented.
There's humour, there're emotions and some very interesting observations.
I thoroughly enjoyed, highly recommended.

PS: sorry for the late review

I always have fun reading this series and it improves with each new installment.
This one is excellent, engrossing and highly entertaining.
I was happy to catch up with the characters, the mystery is solid and the paranormal side always funny.
Highly recommended.

I think it's one those "it's me not the book" cases as I started it 3 times and struggled to go on.
The style of writing is excellent, the characters are interesting but somehow I didn't care for them.
Not my cup of tea.
