I loved it and hope it's the first in a series because it's very entertaining and gripping.
There's plenty of humour and I loved how it used Golden Age tropes and made me them work.
Excellent plot and character development, a solid mystery that kept me guessing.
Can't wait to read another book by this author.
Highly recommended.

Another good paranormal romance by Abigail Owen.
Great world building, interesting and fleshed out characters, a gripping plot.
Highly recommended.

It's a good thriller, full of twists and turns, gripping and entertaining.
I'm not a fan of Nikki as hate MC with a death wish but I think that the author did a good job and the characters are fleshed out.
The plot is slow burning and there's plenty going on. it was not hard to guess the culprit but I was curious to read the solution.
I think I missed something as it's a fourth in a series.
It's not my cup of tea but I think that other will surely love it.

4.5 stars rounded to 5
I’m Italian born and bred but rom-com set in Italy are one of my guilty pleasure and T.A. Williams’ novels are amongst my favourite in this genre.
I love them because the descriptions and the situation are quite realistic, and I like how he describes my country and the people.
The Secrets on the Italian Island is a fun read, engrossing and entertaining.
I loved how he described Isola d’Elba and I was left craving for crostini with chicken liver.
Anna, the main character, is an unusual heroine as she’s a geologist who travels around the world probing for rare metals. The story is about her romantic relationship but also talks about the impact of this type of work on personal life and the impact of mining on the environment.
The environmental cause features strongly in this story as some of the characters are involved in this cause and I liked the observations.
I had a lot of fun in reading about Marco as he reminded me of some dear friends who were very good at the seduction game but a disaster as boyfriend material. Marco is quite realistic and, thinking about my friends, what happened wasn’t a surprise.
Jack was my favourite character, and I would be happy to meet such an interesting and complex man. He was the one I would have chosen over the other love interest.
There’s plenty going on this book: secrets, romances, betrayal and growing up. It kept me hooked and the plot never drags and it’s full of unexpected twists.
One note: I know that Italian politics is quite complex and not easy to understand but some phrases and situation were a bit over the top even for local political standard. I cannot say more without spoiling part of the plot, I assume they were a plot device.
It was a pleasant read and I recommend it as it’s an excellent summer read.

It made me travel to new places and to some I already knew. It's well written and kept me turning pages as I wanted to discover more.
It could be a great way to create an itinerary around the world.
Highly recommended.

An excellent thriller that kept me reading till late in the night.
It's gripping, gritty and highly entertaining. A page turner full of twists and turns.
The characters are excellent, love Max and Janie, a couple of detective from different background but who share the same will to bring justice.
The author is a good storyteller and the plot flows and never drags
Highly recommended.

David Frost said "Love is staying up all night with a sick child - or a healthy adult.". A book that keeps reading till 3 am is an excellent book.
Maybe I'm a bit biased as I think I could read Elly Griffiths' shopping list and rate is as "gripping, highly entertaining, 5*". In this is case it's the right way to define this book as I read it turning pages maniacally and couldn't stop till I read the last word.
It's a complex story, full of twists and turns, a puzzle where there's one main suspect who's also an unreliable witness. Plenty of red herrings and a solution that came as a surprise.
I was happy to read about Emma investigating again and her relationship with WDPC Meg is interesting as it's based on common experience and bypass and social difference.
There's a lot going on in the life of the characters, fleshed out as usual, and there's plenty of references to the "The Feminine Mystique" and the beginning of the feminism movement. It's something so revolutionary that one of the male characters is considering it a possible motive for killing.
There's a quite bleak description of the entertainment in first part of the XX century: plenty of power plays and no metoo to prevent abuse.
A highly entertaining, gripping and well written story, highly recommended.

A Declaration of the Rights of Magicians was one of my top books in 2020. This means that I couldn't wait to read A Radical Act of Free Magic.
WOW! It's a slow burning story and I read it savoring the style of writing, the great characters and loving every moment.
As I grew in a Latin country I study French Revolution and Napoleonic Was but as they are told from the other side. It may seem paradoxical but this books made learn about another point of view and discover some very interesting historical character, Pitt and Wilberforce above all.
This story is darker than than the previous but the parts about Pitt/Wilberforce friendships and their banters are delightful. I loved them as much as I loved Fina.
The last part was emotionally charged and I think I cried, it's always hard to say goodbye.
The world building is excellent and I would be curious to learn more about the Vampire Kings and Vampire Wars
H.G.Parry is a talented storyteller and this story always kept me hooked and entertained.
It's a gripping, fascinating and highly entertaining story
Highly recommended.

I read a lot of Georgette Heyer's Regency romances and was very happy to read again Sylvester.
Even if this book is more than 60 years old it's still highly entertaining and well written.
Sylvester and Phoebe are two great characters and I rooted for them even I knew what was going to happen.
The vivid historical background, the fleshed out characters and the well crafted plot made this novel gripping and highly entertaining.
I hope that Georgette Heyer will be read by plenty of of new readers.
Highly recommended.

I recently read the first book in this series and started this one as soon it was over.
It's another highly entertaining and gripping story. I had a lot of fun, read it as fast as I could and was kept guessing.
I like the idea of different dogs that help Ally to investigate.
Likeable characters, solid mystery.
Can't wait to read the next story.
Highly recommended.
