I think this is the best book in this series: emotionally charged, poignant, gripping and entertaining.
I loved what I read, I felt for the characters, I couldn't put it down.
Lisa Reagan is an very good storyteller and her character and plot development are excellent.
The plot is fast paced, tightly knitted and I wasn't able to stop reading.
Highly recommended.

I loved the style of writing and the richness of details and the vivid historical background.
Unfortunately I found this book too long and slow and the story didn't keep my attention.
Not my cup of tea.

I discovered this is part of a trilogy so I assume that some of issues could be caused by not having read the other books.
I thinks it's well written but I could warm up to the story and it fell flat.
Not my cup of tea.

This is a history book but it kept me hooked and turning pages as it's gripping.
The author is master storyteller and I was fascinated by the story of James Lewis aka Charles Masson.
There's plenty to learn from this book: ancient civilizations, archelogical discoveries, travel.
A lof of information, quotes from original documents but it never was dry or pedantic.
i loved what I read and I think that the author did an excellent job.
It's highly recommended.

I usually read more than one book at the same time. Different genres, authors and I'm usually able to do it.
It was not possible with this book as I had to read it and wasn't able to put it down. I had to stop from time to time because you have to work/sleep/eat/etc but I kept on thinking about the plot and wondered what was going to happen.
I think that defining this story gripping is a sort of understatement but I cannot find another word. Let's say you start reading and you keep on reading and then it's over. You're having a lot of fun and you want more fun and to read some more pages even if it's late in the night.
As this is a review I assume I have to write something meaningful like: gripping plot, great characters, a highly entertaining story.
Now go and read it.

It's the first book I read in this series and won't surely be the last.
It's a very good cozy, fast paced and fun to read.
I loved Penelope, a strong and likeable character, and appreciated the fleshed out cast of charactes.
The plot is engrossing and entertaining and the mystery kept me guessing.
Even if this is the 7th instalment in this series I had no issues with the plot or the characters.
Recommended!

A good, adrenalinic, atmospheric and creepy horror novel that kept me turning pages.

I love travelogue and I loved this well written and entertaining book.
It was like travelling back in time to a different place and feeling the sun on your face.
Excellent style of writing and storytelling.

I fell in love with Rosamund Pilcher's characters when I read "September" and I read a lot of her novels.
This is the first time I read some her short stories and I think that each of them could be become a novel.
Even if the atmosphere is vintage and you can say that they were written long time ago the characters are ageless and her women could be the heroine in a contemporary novels.
Great characters, gripping plot and wonderful settings.
She was a master storyteller and I was left craving for more.
Highly recommended.
