T.A Williams is one of my favorite authors of rom-coms set in Italy and I always love his stories. This one was no exception and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The setting is well described and vivid, the characters fleshed out and the plot entertaining.
Highly recommended.

It well written and the concept is interesting. Unfortunately the dual timeline confused me and the story didn't keep my attention.
Not my cup of tea.

I'm huge Dresden Files fan and this was one of my most expected book as it's been quite a long time since last book
Let's say this is a book that can't be read as a standalone as the world building is very complex and there's plenty of characters. There's a lot of backstory but it's better to start from Storm Front and read the series if you want to enjoy this one.
This is a sort of introduction to a second book. There's a lot of growing tension, action but you will need to read Battle Ground to know what will be the solution.
That's the reason for the 4*.
Butcher is always an excellent storyteller and I couldn't put this book down loving every moment and enjoying Harry's antics, his fight with the Winter Mantle and the complexity of supernatural world.
It's recommended as it's gripping and highly entertaining.

This is the fourth book I read by Silvia Moreno-Garcia and the only common element was her excellent storytelling as each of them was of a different genre (thriller, fantasy, horror, comedy of manners).
The Beautiful Ones is a not as exciting as Mexican Gothic but it's an excellent story.
I'm a huge fan of Georgette Heyer and I think that this story could have been written by her (this is a compliment).
The book is set in fictional European city during the Belle Epoque. The names are French-like so it could be Paris. There's an elite of people that reminded me of Heyer's Ton and the social rules reminded me of some Regency romances: the Season, the husband hunt, the behaviour of a young lady.
Nina is a strong willed, clever young woman who has to face this world and try not to be crashed by the social ostracism and people trying to tame her. This is her story but it's also the story of her coming of age and becoming a woman who decides about her destiny.
Valerie is the other main female characters. She accepted to be crashed, to marry for money, to become a social icon. I don't like her but I cannot help feeling sorry for her.
There's a light fantasy elements and there's plenty of world building and character development. The author excels at both.
As this is a comedy of manners there's humour, witty banters and some situations that made me laugh.
I loved this story and found it compelling and entertaining.
Another excellent book by Silvia Moreno-Garcia, I strongly recommend it.

Sometimes you need a heartwarming and uplifting book that makes you smile and travel to lovely places and this what happens when I read Sandy Cove books.
This one was no exception and it ticked almost all the check on my list.
I thoroughly enjoyed it and found it engrossing and entertaining.
Lydia is an interesting character that face a huge change in her life. Even if she’s a bit passive she also grows in the book becoming her own woman.
I liked the characters in this book and think they are well developed and interesting.
The descriptions of the setting are great and they made me crave to be there. I think that the place is a character on its own. one that always makes you wish to live there and be able to explore the coves and walk around.
It’s another good addition to this beloved series.
It’s recommended.
