A fascinating, well researched and well written historical fiction that kept me hooked.
I loved the vivid descriptions of the historical background, the characters and how the story is told using letters and other documents.
The author is a talented storyteller and I learned something more about the War of the Roses.
It's an excellent read that I strongly recommend.

I thoroughly enjoyed this heartwarming, festive and highly enjoyable story!
A lovely setting, well written characters and a story that kept me hooked. It's more complex than the average Christmas rom-com as it deals with issues like grief and loss.
It was an excellent read, strongly recommended.

This is one of those book you would like to rate 10/5* as it’s a real page turner and a a rollercoaster of emotions.
It’s hard to find the word for expressing how much I loved and what a gripping and highly entertaining read is.
It kept me on the edge till the end and the last part I was turning pages maniacally as I wanted to know what was coming next.
It’s fast paced and the timing and the storytelling keep you on the edge till the end.
Ms Ware is a master storyteller and this book is the perfect example of how she is at telling stories.
Everything is perfect. the solid plot, the great cast of characters, the claustrophobic situation.
I think it’s a great homage to “Then they were none” with the growing counts of bodies and the claustrophobic situation.
It’s a great thriller but it’s also an interesting look at the tech start up world, their dynamics and their rites.
It’s one the best book I read in 2020 and I am sure it will be a best sellers.
I loved it and it strongly recommended.

I think I’m bit late to the party but, my fault, got the date wrong. This is my stop of the rereading of the Chronicles of Elantra, a great fantasy series I just discovered last year.
This is the 5th book in the series and we learn about Kaylin’s past and how it relates to the present.
There’s a lot of world building in this story: we learn more about what the real name means to Dragon and Barrani, the relationship between the fief and their lords, the Towers and what they are.
I start to read the series last year but this book was a new one for me. I can say it’s a page turner I couldn’t put down and, even if relates to past events, it’s one you can comfortably read without too much knowledge of the world and the characters.
Mrs Sagara is a master storyteller and once you are hooked you cannot stop reading and following her characters.
The richness of the world building is amazing as she creates a universe with different races, lores and mythologies. It’s so rich and fascinating that you don’t want to stop reading and return to your everyday life.
The characters are well thought and I loved the Tower and I loved Tiamaris. I loved to learn about Kaylin’s past and how she lived in the fief of Barren.
It’s a book that I strongly recommend, it can be read as the first but it’s better to read the previous in the series.
An excellent and highly entertaining reading experience, highly recommended.

An entertaining and interesting mix of historical fiction and fantasy, I liked it.
The plot kept me hooked and the characters, both fictional and historical are well thought.

I can't say I was hooked since the first pages because I struggled at the beginning. I persevered and loved this dark, enthralling and well written story.
Great character development and world building, a good plot and storytelling.
I want to read other books by this author.
Recommended.
