I found this book enthralling and full of food for thought. Ghost stories that features a lot of technological aspects and plenty of social commentary.
Some are quite terrifying, all of them have got the right creepy factor.
The author is a talented storyteller and I loved his style of writing.
A fascinating read that I strongly recommend.

I discovered Neil Spring’s books last year and I was hooked as I loved his mix of thriller and paranormal, the creepy atmosphere and the great plots.
This book is no exception and, even if it’s a bit less creepy that the other, it’s a highly entertaining and gripping read.
It kept me hooked since the first pages and I was enthralled by the bleak atmosphere, the great characters and the growing tension.
Lizzy is not a likeable character but I got to like her and we can read about her changing and making amends for the mistakes that destroyed her career and forced her to change her life.
She’s facing the unknown and she’s facing some terrifying experiences.
The characters are well thought and I found them interesting.
I loved the world building, the description of the places and the paranormal side that has the right creepy factor.
The author is an excellent storyteller and i found this story enthralling.
I can’t wait to read the next book by this author, this one is highly recommended.

Even if it's set at Christmas time this isn't the usual Christmas story.
It's more complex and the author delivers a fascinating and intriguing story, full of great characters. A story that kept me hooked till the end.
It's the first book I read by this author and won't surely be the last.
I loved it and it's strongly recommended.

This is the last time I visit Hillsboro, California and have fun with the Anderson sisters and Annie.
We met the other sisters and Annie, rooted for them and had a lot of fun in reading this series but, as all good things, this is the end.
Rose is the “sweet” sister, the one who dreams about romance but never fell in love. She’s feeling “different” as she’s the one without a special one in her life.
And we meet Cole, the actor that hope that stardom is the next step in his career.
This is the start of highly entertaining, heartwarming, fun story that kept me hooked till the last page. It was the right book at the right moment because one needs some fun and hope in her life in this bleak times.
The author is a talented storyteller and I loved how she developed the plot and the characters, her descriptions of Hillsboro and how sweet the romance is. I rooted for Rose and Cole and couldn’t wait to read about their HEA.
The plot is fast paced, full of twists and turns and it kept my attention alive till the last page.
Even if I know this is the last book in this series I hope that there’ll be more in the future and we will meet again this lovely town and its quirky inhanitants.
It was a fun and entertaining read that I strongly recommend.

his is the first book I read by Kate Eliott and I can say I thoroughly enjoyed.
The blurb talks about “Gender Swapped Alexander the Great on interstellar scale” and I couldn’t resist as Alexander the Great is one of my favorite historical character.
To be honest I found hard to match Alexander with Sun as I wasn’t able to match fictional characters with the historical one. On the other side I think it’s an excellent and gripping story that kept me hooked even if I’m not a big fan of military sci-fi
It’s a bit slow at the beginning but it’s also the part where the author introduce us to a very complex and fascinating world. The world building is amongst the strong point of this book: fascinating civilisations and different races, political intrigues and very sophisticated technologies. Even if there’s a Far East flavour they are original and fresh.
Kate Eliott is an excellent storyteller and she delivers a story that is action packed, gripping and fast paced after the first part.
I didn’t find easy to warm up to Sun but we see her grow and show her cunning and her strategical abilities during the book. Her companions are fascinating, I loved Persephone and Zizou. All the characters are well thought and interesting.
Even if it’s a sci-fi story some aspects reflect those of our society and there’s plenty of social commentary. I liked how the author use the reality show as a mean of propaganda and as a part of the plot.
I’m very curious to read the next books in this series because I think it’s going to be very interesting. It’s the first book I read by Kate Eliott and won’t surely be the last.
I strongly recommend it as it’s highly entertaining and gripping.

I've been a Beatles fan for a long time and I read quite a number of books about them.
This one is excellent and I learned a lot of new details about the make of Abbey Road.
I liked the style of writing and found this book a pleasant and engrossing read.
Highly recommended!

The solid mystery is full of twists and turns and kept me guessing.

I usually like Tilly Tennant's books but I struggled with this one as Cathy grated on my nerves with her insecurities and always bringing herself down.
The setting was lovely and I loved some of the characters.
Not my cup of tea.
