A lovely and enjoyable romance, a pleasant read that kept hooked till the last page.
Even if it's the second in a series there was no problem in understanding the characters and their relationship.
I look forward to reading other books by this author.

It's a lovely lovely story, well written but unfortunately it was not my cup of tea.
I loved how the historical background was described, quite realistic, but somehow the characters lack passion.
I think some more editing could have helped.

I think it’s lovely when a new instalment of a beloved series is out after a long time but unfortunately it also mean that there are quite high expectations.
You remember the other books in this series as a lot of fun to read, engaging and entertaining and expects that the new one will mirror your memories.
As a matter of fact you have reconsider your expectations and enjoy the book for what it is.
It was a pleasant and entertaining read, a bit slow at the beginning.
It was great to meet again the lovely cast of characters, both ghostly and human.
I loved the depiction of the small town life with gossips and some nasty rumors.
The mystery is full of twists and turns, it kept me guessing till the end and I couldn't put the book down.
This is a lovely addition to this series even if it can fully appreciated by anyone who already read the previous instalments.

A wonderful book, full of emotions, heartwarming and moving at the same time.
This is a real page turner, once I started I couldn't put it down as I was involved in the twists and turns of the plot.
The cast of characters is well written and they are realistic and you cannot help rooting for them.
I loved Mary, Dot, Rose, and Alice; I loved their spirit, they braveness and their capacity to hope in a better future.
This is the first book I read by this author and won't surely be last one.
I look forward to meeting again the Liberty girls.

It's the first book I read in this series and it was a great discovery.
I assume it's better to have read the previous instalment as there are some references and sometimes it's not so clear if you can get all of them.
I love the novel, the well researched historical background and I loved the well written and developed characters.
The plot was engaging and kept me hooked till the last page.
I look forward to reading other instalment in this series.

It was great how the writer brought back to life ancient Alexandria and how well researched the historical background is.
I found this book entertaining and fun to read, full of interesting and well written characters.
The mystery was good and fun to read, it kept me guessing till the end.
